Dunny is probably a victim of our zero development environment at that time. Had he just improved his disposal to an AFL average he would have made it much further. I still feel a bit sad about how it ended for him, he flew the flag with more heart than anyone at the time.Dunstan was starting to play the football promised early in his career just as we cut him. He is a player who was unlucky with his career he had a few injury interrupted seasons and Richo wanted players who could run end to end with the play. As a pure inside on baller at the right club he probably has a decent career.
A big part of footy is landing in the right place at the right time. These guys had no-one to help guide them and terrible career planning done for them. Billings and Dunstan probably both have much better careers if they'd laded somewhere else. We put too much pressure on them too early with zero help. They were not starts but also had their confidence and enjoyment crushed.
