Saw it a couple of times tonight in the 2nd quarter but nothing else.

But what is the point of taking that kick or switching if you do it as slow as we did? Allowed the Saints to get back easily.

gray comes in he is versatile. mcaullfie comes in. i saw reserves storm home today. armstrong needs to down and string 5 games with scores. dow and ross not up to it. sonsie needs a run in the guts. give him a few more games. we need a change in game plan and mindset. the one that i would drop is short.

Last two games we were playing well in the second half while lacking in the first, this week it was the opposite, seems like they are trying to throw things around and see what works. I wouldn't look into the results too much just keep getting games into the kids. Hopefully Gray can debut next week he was clutch in our VFL comeback today.

Ultimately this is a meaningless result for us in the grand scheme of things. This year was never supposed to be about wins versus losses. The experienced players did their job just fine. Hopper, Taranto, Broad, just fine. This smashing was all about our first and second year players being totally overwhelmed by their 3-5th year opponents and then being totally overwhelmed by the moment. It’s a painful learning experience. That is all.

Carlton board are less critical of their pathetic performances out of a team that is meant to be a top 4 team before the season started .

What did you guys expect to happen at the start of the year when we recruited 8 kids ?
We will finish last and by a considerable margin and we will be last again next year and possibly 2027

This is a rebuild like no other and will have 20+ new players in 3 years

We had zero midfield last year, not sure where people were expecting it to appear from when we only drafted 1 mid. This has a long long way to go, the old blokes are gonna get picked even if they **** up because they set up the structures.

and what was his game impact? He sometimes jogs next to a player he should be sprinting at to lay a tackle....does my head in. He had an ok game today, i would call it just a pass.
