Archer and BBW both named on field is a surprise. As someone else has mentioned though, Flynn was named on field and got dropped last week so take it with a pinch of salt.

Who comes out for Graham is the million dollar question. Probably Noah Long I would've thought.

I feel like if Bo Allan was going to be the sub they would've announced his debut already, which leads me to think that Hall is probably the one being relegated to the sub.
Has Williams been training this week? Deciding if I should keep Flynn for fantasy, but can't find any news anywhere.

Really important game for us, arguably more so than last week against Brisbane.

We don’t need to win (although that’d be nice) but we need a competitive showing. We’ve had difficulty putting together back to back good games in recent years so we need to frank the Brisbane performance with another strong showing

If we’re not switched on, Freo will do a number on us

$1.01 Dudley has a cracking debut v us and kicks 3 or 4 and makes our defenders look silly.

$17 Bo Allan gets more than 10 possies (if plays)

You posting something like this was paying $1.005

I think Flynn has been somewhat thrown under the bus and unduly ridiculed while BW has been quite inflated in his performance.
Flynn was up against one of the elite rucks in the comp tapping it to a dominating midfield. Our mids were pretty average and half the team didn't bother turning up. After an absolute rocket during the week they turned up the following week and were much more accountable making BW's work look better.
Week 1 Flynn had 13 disposals, 4 marks, 3 tackles , 13 H/O and 4 clearances.
Week 2 BW had 4 disposals, 1 mark, 1 tackle, 23 H/O and 3 clearances.
Heck even Arch went from 6 h/o week 1 to 13 h/o week 2.

Yes I know its not all about disposals for the ruckman but I truly believe that if BW played against Witts in week 1 with how average we played he would have been beaten badly as well and probably worse.

So for relevance to this thread, I wouldn't be surprised to see Flynn back in.

It's not really about the numbers, Flynn just looked so uncompetitive in that first game, to the point he got replaced at CBDs by Reid.

CBDs were so much better last week with Williams at least halving hitouts if he wasn't winning

The pressure is certainly on Freo this week. This game will speak volumes for where they're really at.

Can West Coast end Freo's season early?

Based on the following assumptions:
1) Both the Eagles and the Dockers are playing efforts like last week.
2) Home grounds enable teams to have 3 goals advantage
3).In the 2025 season so far, Sydney lost to Brisbane by less than a goal (ie Brisbane is 3 goal better). Dockers lost to Sydney by less than a goal (ie Sydney is 3 goals better). The Eagles lost to Brisbane by 19 points (ie Eagles and Brisbane are about level).

We should not be surprised to see the Eagles will beat the Dockers by 6 goals this Sunday. (Considering Optus Stadium is a neutral ground for both the Eagles and the Dockers).

It is funny that the punters ( and hence the bookies) are thinking the Eagles have only 22.5% chance of winning.

Hmmm...makes little sense.

Freo win by 39... win flag
Freo win by 41... 9th

It's a rough guide. That reasoning doesn't follow either, I didn't say if they make finals they'd win it all.

But main point is making myself feel better if we have a close loss. All the pressure is on Freo to make the most out of their apparently top 4 list.

But that was one of my points, the whole team looked noncompetitive.
After a midweek rocket that turned around.
Witts is also a much harder opponent than ole Oscar Mc. No offence Oscar but he is.

I just think it has been blown way out that Bwilliams was/is so much better than Flynn.
I am sure they will be both in and out until one settles as the No1, barring that dreaded "I" word.

While I wanna see the kid hurry up and debut already, I thought the players that play in his positions played well enough last week to not see any changes unless players are still absolutely cooked from the weather last week

A good context you provided re BW vs. Flynn. Possibly right.
I don't think they had an 'absolute rocket' during the week, not sure if that's Mini's style. Sounds like they didn't need a rocket, they took ownership themselves after the review..

On a different subject, if Bo plays there's no guarantee he'll have a big one, might struggle - could be a quiet day for him, but let's hope he at least does a Clay Hall!

You’re an awesome mod. Thrown in another made up word I never said “humiliate” too, well done Donald👍
