They’ll all good and might need all 4 at the end. Who suits your byes better?
They've all got pretty good byes for me tbh.

R13 (Sinclair and Clark), I only have Brayshaw and Macrae as keepers.

R16 (Zorko and Whitfield), I only have Callaghan (jury out on keeper status) and SDK (not a keeper)

Whitfield. Has the final bye which by then you’ll be closer to a completed team and fielding a better best 18.
Or Sinclair for his handy mid/def?

Certainly food for thought. I'm bringing one of them in for Stewfault, so I'll admit there's a preconceived bias regarding Whitfield as he's burnt me through injury so many times, and I'm kinda prioritising a safe replacement for Stewart.

DPP is handy too.

Ever since Kingsley said they needed to get Whitfield the ball more he's gone

134, 105, 117, 107, 113, 137, 133, 152, 97, 106, 153, (100*, 89*) finals games*, 111 128

119 average in his last 15 games. 122 if you take out finals. Only in 13% of teams and hasn't hit father time yet. He is also the only one of the 4 with the lions share of kick outs (46 more than Zorko last year)

Sinclair since he got over the limited PS and injury from last year has gone 116 in his last 19 games. In 8% of teams (biggest POD)

Think they are both superior options to Zorko (still think he HAS to miss a game doesn't he) who has gone 113 over last year and the 2 games this year.

Clark is 4th fiddle in all of this, whilst I see an increase in ppg for him this year, won't reach the heights of the others. For me it's

Whitfield > Sinclair > Zorko >> Clark

Please discuss the merits of Whitfield vs Sinclair vs Zorko vs Clark.

Leaning Sinclair just at the moment as Whitfield is almost certainly getting tagged this week and Zorko is an old flog x

In the same dilemma trading perryman and stewart. Is it too much to go to both whitfield and sinclair?

Would they tag Whitfield before Green or Callaghan?

Henderson and throw away the key

This is interesting coming from a Geelong supporter. I watched the last quarter and a bit against the Saints and O'Sullivan looked the goods to me. Read the play well and intercepted (SC Gold) for a score of 88. Seems there's backline room with all the off season departures and backline rookies are awful (Bice next week looks promising). Any reason we should be avoiding COS or prioritising others?

Who's the biggest must have with my final trade?

Lashcroft vs M.Reid vs Freijah
depends on team set up and what you want to prioritise but none of those are must have.

I don’t think Whitfield gets tagged this week, they didn’t bother tagging him last year why would they change that now?

1. Clark
2. Sinclair
3. Whitfield
4. Zorko

Probably because not tagging Whitfield lost them that game late in the season as he cut them to absolute ribbons IIRC. Anyway, leaning Sinclair pending teams. Think Clark is just a rung below those guys - don't think he goes 110+.

Fair enough but I can’t remember the hawks tagging anyone except Daicos. He also has west coast and the saints after that. In saying that I still prefer Sinclair.

I agree Clark is a level below but he’s just so reliable and probably doesn’t have the same injury risk that the other 3 do.

That's fair – although, while Sinclair loves a preseason niggle, he's played 22, 23, 22 and 21 games over the past four seasons. Should be fairly safe from an injury perspective.

Yeah I remember that stat mentioned during the pre season. I wonder if he still starts slow despite the big score last week

Nice analysis - I have Whitfield ahead of Sinclair too...

But, one nagging thought - if I was to get Sinclair instead of Whitfield the $6K difference is enough for me to trade out Hastie instead of Tsatsa next week. Very minor and marginal in the scheme of things, but it's that tight - I will then have $2K left  !

With Kolodjashnij coming back soon and Stewart’s injury not as serious as initially thought, he’s job security is not as good and secure compared to Henderson.

Imo, I want him to stay in our squad for the entire year to get games into him and will be a star, but we have senior players coming back who will likely take his spot unfortunately.

I for one have brought in both Henderson and COS. I think COS will play for the next 3-4 weeks so hopefully by then, he’d make a heap of cash before he was to make way for guys like Kolodjashnij.

Both Sinclar and Whitfield are great choices and ideally you end up with both anyway. If Hastie is not selected, surely you choose a 'dead' rook to cull over one with good to great JS who is missing for 2 weeks (particularly when one of those weeks is a bye anyway)?

Edit: Just noticed you're referring to next week which lends itself even more to retaining Tsatas (assuming Hastie still left out this week) as then he's only missing his bye week. I doubt you'll be trading many rookies with decent JS on their bubble just cos of a bye - which is essentially the scenario.

I prefer Whitfield, only $6K more expensive than Sinclair- but that would force me to trade out Tsatsa next week instead of Hastie

grab the player you want and deal with next week when it arrives.

Whitfield or rankine?
Entirely depends on your structure; although Rankine is probably a bigger priority in his line.
