No. It's better because it's an overall reduction in tax paid + its a closer move towards equality in taxation. You do support equality don't you?

But 80% are paying more tax, something you're against - yet you're apparently ok with that coz "equality"?

Not to mention some are obviously more "equal" than others, if you know what I mean ie. a 10% tax increase for a billionaire wouldn't even be noticed in terms of living standards, whereas a similar increase for someone near the poverty line would be catastrophic.

So I ask again, if it isn't government benefits or assistance, what benefit do the poor actually get as a result of this approach and why is it better for the 80% of society who are paying more tax than they used to?

Is there anything in the latest US administration has done, that causes you concern?

Not that 'they haven't done enough', or 'I'm always concerned with the US administration'.
But specifically the Trump/MAGA/Musk actions. Nothing they've done has made you pause, even as a conspiracy theorist?

Ever entertained the thought that ,we in the left, are at fault and the reaaon that Trump/MAGA/Musk exists? And that every action this administration takes needs to be a source of introspection?

This admin could have been ours, instead our arrogance, hubris and narcissism allowed it to happen for the other team.

I was always a leftist. You do realize that nobody on BF is a right winger even those you accuse of being RWNJ's.

I'll even go on to say that if I involved myself in politics and signed up to BF circa 2003/4 I would have been anti-Howard/Bush.

Of course I have. The last 20 years have been explaining how 'the left' is the majority/base reason for every action/reaction of 'the right'.

Trump won in 2016, because of 'the left'.
Trump won in 2024, because of 'the left'.

Trump won in 2020, because of 'the left', but was blocked by 'the left'.


Your position seems to be that DEI, affirmative action, LGBTQ+ is so harmful and damaging to society, that the 'real people' had no choice but to vote against 'the left'.
The 'real people' view 'the left' as too extremist, destructive and controlling for any 'centrist' to support.

That's why we all need Trump to be an autocrat, to rebalance the imbalance of power.
