I think Sydney has made a mistake playing 2 rucks this week.
Our ins are very good. JLo is back baby.
Yes, when he came on last week.Help me out here, has Heath ever been tried forward of the centre?
"You know where you got that shirt..."
That should be Johnson's role not Chapman's.Hopefully Chapman is playing midfield. Need some more height and athleticism through there. I think he can be a Will Day type of player.
Banners in the mids = Tagging HeeneyUnless: chapman defender, Banfield and ras mids, Voss forward, Draper sub
I'm so excited to see Bolton but as others have said I won't believe it until I see him on field after the game has started...
Also for the love of Pav can we PLEASE not select Ras as sub. He's no good as sub and it's not good for his development to then also not get a full game at Peel because he's waiting on the sidelines (or worse - when we had him travel as an emergency for lots of last season).
Subbing him off is a different thing altogether.
Players who I wouldn't mind as sub who could inject something a bit different to impact a game, in no particular order:
Bruce - showed he can impact a game very quickly & may help him last out the full season being first year (personally think he's too good with his bal use but I could see the logic behind it)
Banners - versatile
Voss - I think he subbed on once last year and came on and smashed and crashed packs when everyone else was tired. will benefit Bolton & Bruce too.
NOD - pace out of the mid, breaking lines, don't think we can afford not to have him starting at this stage though
Draper - especially if we have no injuries and put him wherever he can get his hands on the ball not try squeeze him into def
JOM - experienced, good ball use, again don't think we can afford him not to start with our current outs
I’d do that, banners can go to Blakey and stop him charging out of the backline.Could the plan be for Erasmus to tag Heeney? Give him a role, give him a whole game if he's doing it well and see if his confidence grows from there
I like the idea, but do we ever do this (use a forward in a predominantly shutdown role)?I’d do that, banners can go to Blakey and stop him charging out of the backline.
Johnson had a good game last week but overall the midfield was still the issue. That should be Johnson's role not Chapman's.
Very nice.
Reidy is going to have a tough year. Just not AFL material unfortunately
Could the plan be for Erasmus to tag Heeney? Give him a role, give him a whole game if he's doing it well and see if his confidence grows from there
Plat him against small/mediums and it's the same most weeks. When he plays taller, he excels. He doesn't have the agility/nippyness against the smalls. It's been obvious for the last 5 years.
Damn solid team. With Sydney's form and their outs there is no excuse not to win this.![]()
TABtouch team: Three changes made
Fremantle have confirmed their final team of 23 set to take on Sydney on Sundaywww.fremantlefc.com.au
Bolton, Ras and Vossy in.
Worner, Reidy and Switta out.
Pretty decent changes
With all due respect......I think you could honestly argue this is our strongest team with all the players we currently have available. There's no reason we can't win this Sunday.
True, I do tend to huff the copium, but I think we have more chance of beating Sydney at home than Geelong at Kardinya Park. With all due respect......
Game Day - Round 1 2025 Fremantle ⚓️ v Geelong 🐈
Worner starts. Aish is at Peel and Chapman is sub Inspiringwww.bigfooty.com
That was one game in 2025, the only game he started and he wasn’t the worst. His 3 other games he was the sub.IMO every time he's been subbed out it's been warranted. He was a top ten pick, the club want him to succeed. If he's filling his role he'll play a full game.
Time for Erasmus to show that he can contribute at AFL level.
I agree, I just hope you're closer to the mark this week sisterTrue, I do tend to huff the copium, but I think we have more chance of beating Sydney at home than Geelong at Kardinya Park.
