Teakle was bit parts, much the same as last year. You forget that he's out there then he bobs up and does something and then goes invisible again. Forward then ruck.

Hardeman is all class. Needs more development but is tracking nicely. Interrupted first season didn't help. Give him time. He's got all the tools. Half back.

Urqs as I said last week is well ahead of where he should be or could have been expected given his draft position. Competes really well and wins contests rather than halving them. Tackling is a feature as well. Mid/fwd and had more than a few CBAs.
Thanks for the reply mate

Yeah teaks disappear and you forget he’s on the park till he takes a big grab.

Love hardeman and if he can win his fair share of contests - he can use his rebound.

Urqs is the biggest surprise this preseason.
Could he be a pressure forward till he gets an opportunity in the middle. Has strength and is quick off the mark.

It’s weird I’ve never thought Chom to be a bad kick (other than at goal)

He’s generally not. Field kicking at least. Maybe sometimes he’s a bit too quick in moving it on. The opposite to Magoo who’d stand there for a minute.

I’m sure it’s just a blip.

You mentioned the sledging. You noticed that it’s a bit more willing out there than the last few years?

Definitely a nastier edge

That was right infront of me and it was the complete opposite

Lynch was imploring comben to give the ball more air. He said it’s just a switch Chom you don’t need to dart it in. Said it like 10 times multiple different ways
Was right in front of me too and I definitely heard him tell Chom there’s no point unless he can hit it low and hard. Was possibly a couple of different scenarios they went though.

Shit. Didn’t he say in his draft year that he needed to work on that the most?
Yeah he did say that he'd worked on improving his accuracy in his draft year.
RookieMeCentral draft profile mentions blend of pace and endurance, improved defending, intercepting, rebounding and precision kicking. Using his non-preferred and contested work as areas for improvement.
I don't think his kicking was bad when I saw him live at training a few weeks back, only saw one turnover and most of the players had at least one with the amount of pressure being applied in the drills.
Anyway I guess we'll see how he goes with the efficiency at VFL or AFL level this year.

Can’t remember who was questioning how much training our guys do in this thread, but whoever it was should read this article.

Powell wouldn’t be alone. Every single player on the list would have a tailored development program just for them. That would take a ton of work by the staff. Obviously a lot still hinges on the individuals professionalism though.

“cant remember…”

lol
