Agree, but there is no law against being a dick head. I know lws change but is there any law saying you cannot give the batter a send off anymore?
If there was a law against being a dickhead Michael Clarke wouldn't have made it out of juniors.

And so there shouldn’t be. This is International Test cricket. Not giving Nana a serve when you castle her on Xmas day after 9 cans.

It's an interesting situation for selectors because word from Aus camp pre-series was about ensuring bowlers are fit for the back end of the series, so one would assume they get rotated. Hazelwood has had his 'rest' is Starc next?
Imagine telling Lillee, McGrath, Gillespie etc they have to have a rest after 2 Tests

Yes I know but you can't not play Starc after he just knocked over India. That will be fresh in their minds and he must play.
These are pro athletes, they will be fine.

Listenend to him and Lalor after the match ended yesterday going on for half an hour about the non incident with Siraj and Head. They were trying to turn into Monkeygate.
I have never seen a less incident been blown up this much in all my life.
I am still pissed off about his trial via media over Ed Curnow touching the umpire. Such a heinous crime. Utter toolbag

After Gavaskar. He doesn't even pretend to be unbiased, I sometimes think he isn't watching the same game. He's such a whiney little bitch, just like he was when he played, especially after his walk off/dummy spit attempt at the G in 1981, for being given out LBW.
Exactly

Am sure this has been covered already in this thread but I"m not going to read 167 pages. Anyone got any ideas why on earth Mitchell Marsh is deemed worthy of a spot? Test batting average of 30, bowling average of 40. SR of 66. FC batting average of 33.
His bowling is ordinary at best. Is it just because he's a Marsh? FMD if ever a player was inconsistent and irresponsible it's him. No way he should be in the team.

Best batting average in the team since his recall midway through last year's average, that might be one reason

If Hazelwood is fit then does he come into the side & who does he replace? Starc or Boland?

India changes: Rana for Akash Deep. Ashwin for Sundar.

Rohit looked cooked, like age has well & truly caught up to him but they won't drop him. Surely he bats above Pant though.
Can't be dropping Boland. Hoping we play four quicks.

I could look it up but what is Marsh averaging since call up?
There isn’t many in the Aussie team with a good average in the past 2 years, not even Head. Having Marsh with the best average tells us everything we need to know about how bad we’ve been.
Surely Head’s average is better than Marsh since the recall now?

On another note surely Hazelwood won’t be right to play yet? No one needs a rest either. Rests are completely overrated. If you need one give them one. Don’t just rest players for the sake of ‘rotation’

As bad as his first innings in Perth was - and it was - all Marbus was trying to do was similar to what he ended up doing in Adelaide. He took 18 balls to score in Adelaide, clearly a batsman struggling for form trying to see off the toughest time to bat, and hope that eventually runs would come.

50 balls is a long time of course but it’s the same logic.

will only grow in confidence though.

he looked far more agressive in Adelaide, than he did in Perth, so he hopefully that just grows.

Boland's numbers in Australia are insane and far beyond anyone else.

Absolutely nuts to drop him.

Agree id be dropping Lyon and just going 4 quicks.

I can recall a lot the greats grinding and scraping out of slumps. Best way to find form is hanging around in the middle

would be nice if Kawaja and McSweeney can stay in longer so Marnus isn't facing a fresh pill every time too..

Looked to hit the ball more, in Perth he was set on leaving and even got out LBW not offering a shot.
