Last time he did this, it was in 2020-21.

1st Innings scores v SA since than are: 12, 10, 7, 1.

To be fair, the first two were followed up in the 2nd innings scores of 148 not out and 132.

It's taken a while but I do see a bit in Liam Scott, think he looks handy with the stick. But yes him opening the bowling isn't ideal. I could see him turning into a Hilton Cartwright type player.

He struggles to turn over the strike at this level. It's his biggest issue. I'd be giving Brasher a crack next game.

Harry Dixon is another option as a opener,most likely need 2 new openers.Not a great fan of Merlo as a opener either.
