Unless someone on our list decides to just up and retire and sacrifices their contract then best of luck to Crameri and Honeychurch.
Honey has a handshake agreement to go to GWS as a DFA.
Crammers will get picked up as a DFA I'd imagine, otherwise I hope we rookie him.

It sounds like Honeychurch was always gone, off to the Giants. Schache costs Crameri a spot though.

Do we look to rookie Crameri if no other clubs want him? I'd be keen. You'd essentially be swapping him for Smith, which is necessary given the rookie list rules.

so 4 players off main list Murph, Boyd, Hamilton and Stringer

3 on Trengove, Crozier and Scache with 2 high draft picks, do we need to use the 3rd in the 80's ??

Therefore we need to delist 1 more if we only use 9 and 16 or 2 more players if we use 81 as well that are currently not contracted ie Crameri, Honey

Hopefully Crameri stays for me

Damn, I'm going to miss Stringer. He hasn't even entered his prime yet. Go watch the 'Get Excited' video. That's just scratching the surface. My favourite was his 'split the difference' goal against the Saints called by Dwayne

Agree, I loved Jake and being at the games you could just hear the excitement level in the crowd rise whenever he was near it.

For those of you who haven't actually watched Schache and just see him as Pick 2 from two years ago, he really isn't that good.

His "great kicking" is actually quite bloody awful, has no work rate and not great at contested marking. There is a reason not a lot of Melbourne clubs were interested.
Essentially we gave up 2 mid-level picks in a supposedly weak draft which we didn't really want to use anyway for a tall forward with potential.
If he was missing Victoria and his family and friends, a move back home might just be the tonic he needs to knuckle down and make the most of his career.

Not Photoshopped ;) - Must of been confident to get to the Bombers given he is in the states DMdwG9FVAAAzNqr (1).jpg

There certainly are a few drama queens on here. It's not the end of the world. We cut out the cancer. That was the most important deal.
We cut out the cancer. And now for chemo & radio. The healing will begin when Stringer starts ****ing around at Essenscum & causing trouble.
Good luck to them..
... they're gonna need it.

Bye Debbie Downer
? Not being a downer, just giving an honest assessment of him. I'm actually glad he is gone, we have Hipwood & Ballenden getting drafted this year, we didn't need him and he didn't want to be here, so no care in the world that he is gone.

Wasn't his 2016 pretty good? Fell away dramatically this year but was that more looking to move away or ability/desire?

2016 was an 'Ok' year but his biggest strength coming out of the draft was supposedly his kicking but his kicking has been awful at AFL level. There is probably a footballer in there somewhere but not sure he'll be the superstar Pick 2 we thought he'd be.

Who is this Stringer person you speak of? Doesn't ring a bell.....

Oh Honeychurch was always gone either way. But there's no chance that nobody takes Crameri either as a DFA or as a late draft pick.

So Stringer and a second for 16 and Schache for a second.

Or Stringer for 16 and Schache for two seconds.

We overpaid that extra second rounder to Carlton. Should haven been a third. But it's not as horrible as it was looking

Yes, we probably did. But it is all about the art of the possible. If this was a stumbling block that could not be overturned we faced the real chance of not achieving our end goals...which appear to be to get Schache whilst not losing first round picks.
