Agree. But that's why he's going to play as the 3rd tall for the time being. Lachie was more or less thrown in the deep end as we'd just lost Fev.KJ Definitely needs to add some serious size to his frame though...probably the only reason he didn't get more games at GWS. Henderson was bigger the same time we acquired him.
Could potentially get 4 (Wright), 6 (Lever) and 7 (Durdin) or use one of La Verde and pick 26 or 27 on another KPP. That sets there KPP up for the next decade. Would be ridiculous to take Boyd instead. At 4 & 7 they could get Wright/McCartin & best mid. And they still have pick 6.
If I was the Dogs I'd take the 3 top 10 picks over spending 1 mil for Boyd.

You could seriously damage my reputation with such libelous statements! I never wish such grievous harm unto young men.Zee now suggesting he should go to Essendon*.....![]()
Dayne Beams could become a Brisbane Lions player as soon as Tuesday, while Carlton was confident of finalising a deal for Kristian Jaksch, with the trade hinging on a decision from his Greater Western Sydney teammate Mark Whiley on whether to make the move with him.
The Blues were also looking at walking Liam Jones to the pre-season draft, having failed to make much headway in talks with the Western Bulldogs regarding the uncontracted forward.
Carlton was due to meet Whiley's manager on Monday evening, having pieced together every other element of the trade.
The deal would lead to the Blues gaining Jaksch, Whiley and sliding from pick seven to pick 19, with GWS taking Carlton's pick seven. Whiley is a 190-centimetre inside midfielder, who has played 12 games in three years for the Giants since joining the club as a NSW zone selection.
Perfect result if we get him there...he really isn't worth pick 46.Jones in the PSD suits me perfectly.![]()
Collingwood and Brisbane also showed early interest in Whiley, but after returning from overseas on the weekend he gave his blessing to the trade.

The Herald Sun a bit more confident than The Age![]()
Whiley’s outstanding NEAFL season this year, averaging 30 touches and kicking 14 goals, saw him come to the attention of a host of AFL clubs.
But given Jaksch’s determination to get to Carlton, it made sense for Whiley to be inserted into the deal.
Jaksch will sign a three-year deal with a trigger deal for a fourth season, with Carlton believing he will shine after another 12 months of development.

The Blues are set to secure a trade for GWS midfielder Mark Whiley and Jaksch as early as Wednesday by giving up pick 7 and receiving selection 19 from the Giants.
Pick 46 is a lottery and I wouldn't lose any sleep should we give that pick up for Jones, but to secure him via the PSD would be an even better result.
We have both Jones and Tutt looking likely to come across so whilst I still think a deal will be done between the two clubs, there's every chance one might come via the draft.
I was just hoping that is Jon Ralph being too stupid to know what day it is...From etsy's article:
So yet another day of no trades awaits.![]()

I wonder where Rogers rated Doc in 2011?So when Jaksch gets in we will have two of Rogers top 5 picks in the 2012 draft. Nice.
