Astbury has no trade value .Unfortunately he seems to b our best depth key back at the minute.
Surely 1 of Darrou,Griff and Elton will step it up next season and fly past him in the pecking order.
Im sure we will draft a big young key defender this draft as well.

The word at the moment is that the Docherty deal has been agreed to by all Parties involved, He will head to Carlton for Pick #33, but Brisbane don't want to make it official as they will set a bad precedent for their other trades that are on-going.
Carlton are currently trying to negotiate a deal with GWS for Matt Buntine using the pick we got for Hampson (Pick #32) and some added extras.

Can't see Astbury going to Brisbane at the last minute. They have completed 0 of 5 deals in nearly 3 weeks. What makes anyone think they can get Astbury done in 2 days?

Passed on Wingard for Buntine and then trade him for Lucas? Pretty sure they could find their very own shit one way runner at any pick after 30.

GWS would still need a pick in the top 15 for Buntine one would think. Id even offer pick 12 for Buntine and a pick upgrade if they could do it.
