What about some apologies and compensations to the Scots who suffered as a result of the Highland Clearances?

How about apologies and pardons to all the people that were killed for heresy against the various religous orders over the centuries? The fact that people were executed for not believing or kow-towing towards made-up gods is rather reprehensible.

How about apologies and pardons to all the people that were killed for heresy against the various religous orders over the centuries? The fact that people were executed for not believing or kow-towing towards made-up gods is rather reprehensible.

You'd probably find that more have been killed in service to one religious order or another than in opposition to any religious order at all. More deaths have been caused due to faith vs faith than those who step aside from faith altogether.

Religious belief is a theatre of operations within the war, not the war itself.
