I love fishing for Tailor!

I have caught some absolute rippers from my favourite surf/reef break along gutters and in the white water.

This year and most of last have not been as exceptional as previous years but I have been happy with quality over quantity at least.

Tailor fishing is almost over for this season up here (GC) and it depresses me cause they are the best fish Ive caught.

Although I love Mackeral... and Mackeral is coming up.

Am heading north this weekend towards Kalbarri. Going to fish
Lucky Bay which is renowned as being 1 of the best land based spots..

With the moon dissapearing to a no moon by monday, it looks to be an almost perfect weekend to land some big tailor...

is my 1st time fishing at Lucky Bay so not exaclty sure on how to approach it.. anyone fished here before or know of any info..

Love big tailor on poppers, caught many between 10 and 15 lbs in recent years in the mid west of WA.
Still searching for the real monster, hooked one last year that was 20+, but it threw the hooks...
