Switching Banks

Hey guys,

Some background before I get into it because it will make sense. Im 19 and a casual worker. I currently bank with CBA for my smart access and grow my savings and I have emergency money 1k+ in the online bank Up.

I woke up this morning and I saw that I’ve had 2 unauthorised purchases adding up to $260 in my everyday spending account, I’ve lodged it with commbank.

I spoke to my coworker who’s doing their masters in Cyber security, he said that it happens quite frequently with CBA, so I’m looking to move banks because I’m scared of another situation like this happening (I know it probably won’t happen again but idk)

I’m trying to decide what bank to go with, I’m leaning towards Westpac because of their rates with their savers but not sure.

Would love some recommendations.

If you've got up to $30k and Westpac are still running their promotion for u'30s then it wouldn't be the worst option.

I bank with ING, would highly recommend.
