Stadium Checklist

I thought this might be a fun idea to get jealous and to admire of all the professional stadiums that other BF members have been to.

Please only out down the stadiums that play a high level of sport. For example AFL, NBA or other top leagues, International/Domestic Cricket, MLB once again, or other top baseball leagues, American Football, Soccer (EPL, La Liga, Serie A, heck even A-League), etc.

You can also include stadiums you wish to go and visit and we can cross them off once you complete it.

I haven't done to much travelling but I do plan on doing so once I'm older and finish schooling. As I haven't even left Australia, here is my very average list of stadiums I've been to:

AAMI Stadium
Adelaide Oval
MCG
Telstra Dome (I haven't been to Etihad Stadium :p)
SCG
Skilled Park
Gabba

Stadiums I wish to visit so far:

Lord's
Old Trafford
Cape Town
Eden Gardens
Yankee Stadium

Stadiums I wish to visit so far:

Lord's

In 2005 i was at Lords on a random weekday to check out the ashes... and there happened to be a county cricket game on. At the lunch break (just after we toured the bubble looking media centre) a proper posh pommy voice came on the PA and said the club had agreed to 'perambulation' during the interval... so we jumped the fence and walked around on the field. Very cool experience. Got a unique view of warneys smoko balcony.

Old Trafford of the Man-U variety was interesting. The stadium itself is phenomenally large, yet given the net worth of the players, the dressing rooms, players lounge and gym facilities were pretty piss poor. Genuinely some of the bigger aussie rules ammo clubs have facilities at a par with Man U.

I'm pretty sure United train somewhere else and it would be world class I imagine. I've also see a lot of the NZ stadiums from the outside but there was no sport on at the time so I couldn't enter them.

I found the same -although I could appreciate the history and tradition of the place, the stadium itself was a bit disappointing in it's quality. You compare it to the MCG or Etihad and it isn't even a contest.
