It did get front page on the papers and lead story on tv news when it broke.

People don't seem to care about it much though, no more than a couple of pages of posts on it anywhere on bigfooty and has barely rated a mention on talkback radio.

Mainly because its State league. Nobody in the soccer community cares about the State league, which is amateur at best, so I don't see why mainstream Australia would.
