Brisbane are doing their part by occasionally turning the lights off during their games

So you want to fix the problem but change nothing ?

Everyone put out ideas, what are yours
It's not rocket science. You stop new coal and gas projects and expand renewable projects. Surely you know that?
Plus you don't allow one one the world's biggest polluters, Woodside, to sportswash by sponsoring Fremantle.

Hundreds of the world’s leading climate scientists expect global temperatures to rise to at least 2.5C (4.5F) above preindustrial levels this century, blasting past internationally agreed targets and causing catastrophic consequences for humanity and the planet, an exclusive Guardian survey has revealed.
Great thread.

If only the people attacking you for posting, spent a tenth of the same time looking up any of the content and information.

You even provided a link to the article that references the study.
But all of that is ignored, to attack you.

Big props to the mods who moved the thread. Must be hard to moderate a thread like this... Because... Well 'leftism' or whatever. Sure moving the thread to the 'woke agenda srp' would encourage attacks on you, but still... This is a sports forum, and you're acting kinda 'gay'...

Anyway, back to attacking and abusing you as a person, while ignoring any of the content or aspects of your post.

imo WDS is a buy atm.

Yeah nah, just need to stop opening up new coal and gas fields.

They should really look into the food containers at the footy as well. I mean look at all those pie wrappers etc. can’t be good for the environment.
And we shouldn’t play night games. We could reduce our carbon footprint by playing all senior games at 2pm on a Saturday afternoon.

Looks like we have another cooker.
Nah, I just don't have faith in humanity to turn the climate situation around in time to save all life on this planet. Too little, too few actually care.

The only way this works is that everyone will need to cut their consumption of any commodity that involves processing to make any significant difference.

Processing requires energy and unfortunately there is no alternative to carbon based fuels that can meet current demand.
