Prediction Season 23 - The big cojones calls

This is a thread where we will make those big predictions that ends up pissing off fan bases of clubs. The ones where people will screenshot them and then use them as ammo later in the year. These are the predictions that really show how much we have NFI about footy (without having to take part in a tipping comp). I want to start with

• Dustin Martin will only play in aggregate one quarter of good footy (i.e. if you add up all the minutes where he actually plays good footy, it will be about 20 mins worth of good footy).
• Collingwood will go backwards with a harder draw and the desire to play Tom Mitchell
• A Gunston, Daniher, Hipwood forward line will only work during the H&A season and will prove to be a liability come finals
• Cotchin will be limped to 300 games
• Geelong won't make the granny. The large leadership vacuum left by Selwood will have an effect.
• Melbourne will look good in the H&A season but Grundy and Gawn will prove to ultimately be a liability as they are not natural forwards and can only really play ruck
• 35 - 50% of the Clarkson and Fagan allegations will be proven to be true. However, all that will happen is some pretty weak articles will be written about it and the AFL will sweep it under the rug by threatening journalists with a loss of AFL accreditation. Wilson will write an article about it but it will be listless and meek.
• JHF will take mental health leave after being mocked and trolled for his actions at North.
• Sydney will scrape into the finals. There will be scars after the display they put out on Grand Final Day.

• A recent premiership coach (one of Hardwick, Goodwin or Beveridge) will quit midway through the season due to a controversy over actions against a former player or player's partner.
• Carlton will start the season 10 - 0 and then collapse to win only half of their remaining games, limp into finals and lose their one and only final.
• Hawthorn will sack Sam Mitchell at the end of the season after the Hawks win just 2 games.
• Essendon will be embroiled in turmoil as they struggle with Kevin Sheedy sniping from the sidelines to remind everyone that he was right and that Hird should have been appointed as coach.
• The AFL will yield to Geelong and grant them a home final against a big Victorian team...only to see them lose by 7 goals.

K.Cornes will be the first media person to question if Richmond should try and trade Dusty for value because Dusty doesn't look interested in playing AFL. Cornes will be called a fool by all his mates in the media, but will ultimately be proven right when people take off their rose tinted glasses.

Shai Bolton will go backwards now he has signed a large superstar type contract. Will drink his own bath water whilst being too preoccupied trying to write his own hype.

St Kilda fans will all have drunk the Ross the Boss Kool aid and will constantly try and claim that Lyon is only 1 year in and that it will take time. The new attacking way of football will only last until the Saints first 10 goal loss, then Ross go back to his defensive mindset.

The Carlton power brokers will be drunk off last year and will end up doing something drastic which ultimately condemns the club to another many years of mediocrity.

Gold Coast will make a home final and their supporters will be outnumbered by the opposition supporters at Metricon.

Gotta put money on Bevo here. Unless the new chick Hardwick is shacking up with was dating a player I can't see it coming from him. Caroline Wilson will still want Hardwick sacked for cheating on his wife though
