Fatty is returning to the reformed Roys line-up, he's been a stalwart for many seasons, and we NEED him. He's a little longer in the tooth, and stomach, now, and needs all the encouragement we can give him.

2. The Fighting Furies, premiers twice and runners-up twice (or something), lost their first match to the Roys in 2003 :)

3. The Roys WERE PREMIERS in 2004, and yes, we fought our way through the bottom of the finals, eventually beating Bigfooty Bombers in the big one.

4. While its preferred, you don't HAVE to be a Roy to play. Fred, St Kilda fan and Moderator extraordinaire, has played KPPs for us in the past.

5. Our TEAM name is ROYS FC. Our nickname is GORILLAS. Our song is to the tune of Tequila (I'll post words when I get back in and find them). Our colours are maroon with a blue yoke and central vertical panel (like a blue "Y").

6. We have only been out of the competition for two seasons, basically as a result of my little crisis taking me right out of the picture.

7. The Sweet FA have expressed concern that we MAY NOT HAVE THE POSTING ACTIVITY the warrant our club reforming.

8. To PLAY for the Roys, you don't have to do anything. Your name is listed with everybody else's, and the match is run by random numbers, producing a commentary file, which is posted over at the Fantasy Footy board. You don't even have to read it if you're that anti-social! This is kind of like being a barracker.

9. To be a QUALITY CONTRIBUTOR, you can take advantage of the fun and hi-jinx that the Sweet FA offers, POSTING in match threads, starting CONVERSATIONS and ARGUMENTS, making BIG CALLS, and LUDICROUS PREDICTIONS, or even being a STATS NERD. All it takes is to be an active poster, on the Sweet FA board, and of course, here at Fitzroy. This is kind of like being a supporter.

10. There is an interchange (of 2) and a small supplementary list of players. The Simulator's random results will have a lot to do with whethe you are picked for matches. But we at the Roys admin will also take into account your ACTIVITY. Again, you don't HAVE to do anything. It just makes for a more enjoyable experience if you put your two cents in.

11. Over at the Fantasy Footy board, here, there are off-season threads, news reports, rumour threads, and when the season gets under way, there's match threads that NEED your support. The more posting, well its like crowd noise. Here's an example from way back in 2003, of some of the things I used to post : http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showthread.php?t=76911 ... and this was before others started getting involved.

So come on folks, we've always been a low population of supporters, but it doesn't have to be so in this case.

Did I then build a s**t expensive small-capacity stadium on the mount while abandoning a huge chilly arena in the south-west to a lonely doom? Am I a murderer? Have I committed clubicide?

Mr Bbenfuhrer went on to vomit on the reporter is now being held for questioning ... which is what got him into trouble in the first place ...
