He's allowed to under the rules because he's had a hand injury in the past. Otherwise, players are not allowed to wear them without AFL permission. I suggest he's wearing it for grip.

I wonder how much of our dumb forward entries are down to not having the smarts of Hawkins and Jezza reading the play and creating options/space. Instead relying on a kid whose not ready (Neale) or secondary forwards not used to being relied upon (Rohan and Henry).
