Approved.West Adelaide apply for Ben McKay hardship KPF.
Approved. Happy enough with this. Plays a fair bit forward.Apply for Josh Battle as a KPF.
Been effectively playing as a swingman for St Kilda all season now.
Approved.Apply for De Koning as hardship KPF
No, the AFL Prospectus is used at the start of the year as it classifies between key and non key. Applications are made during the year to add KPP status.I noticed this wee that Oscar McInerney is listed as Ruck/Fwd on AFL Fantasy, which is what we use for our scoring. Shouldn't he be atomatically eligiblle for key forward?
Yup, all good.Apply to have Cameron Zurhaar as hardship KPF with Gunston out injured and Hawkins as hardship Ruck.
if Vardy or Hickey selected I’ll shuffle Hawkins back to KPF
So, he's a ruck but only listed as a small forward? No, the AFL Prospectus is used at the start of the year as it classifies between key and non key. Applications are made during the year to add KPP status.
I'm comfortable for the KPF status to be added if other coaches feels strongly that it should be, however he was never listed as a forward in the Prospectus, only in AFL Fantasy who designated him that at the beginning of the season. This year he has been playing pretty much 90% ruck including at the only time KPF status has been applied for him. Based on last year, he is a Ruck/KPF combo which is why he had that designation in AFL Fantasy, but his role has different this season. Heat map is pretty typical for a ruck:So, he's a ruck but only listed as a small forward?
Are there any other dual position ruck/forwards that aren't kpp?
He's listed as a Ruck/Fwd in SC. Don't they get all their positioning from prospectus? Or is it AFL Fantasy, who also has him as Ruck/Fwd? Unfortunately I don't have heatmaps for previous years. But yes, AFL Fantasy and SC base their positions on Champion Data/Prospectus which means to get KPF status in that game at the beginning of the season McInerney played at least 30% game time as a forward in 2019. The AFL Prospectus itself (which is what the KPP status is based on in this game at the start of each season) doesn't provide dual position, hence why McInerney was only listed as a ruck in this game. He's listed as a Ruck/Fwd in SC. I know he's played primarily as a ruckman this season. But I'm sure last season was different. When I traded him in I was under the impression I was trading in a key forward who occasionally played in the ruck.
Do you have heat maps for him last season? I'd be interested in seeing that.
In my spreadsheet from last offseason I have him down as a key forward only. I think that's what he was classified as last season.Unfortunately I don't have heatmaps for previous years. It's an interesting point though and one I might raise as a potential rule change for next season: AFL Prospectus listed KPP players that have Dual Position Status in AFL Fantasy at the beginning of the year automatically receive KPP status in both of those positions (excluding midfielder) at the beginning of the season instead of relying on a nomination.
Approved.Apply for Tom Stewart as hardship KPD
Not sure if Phil Davis will get up or any of my other KPDs will be selected.
McKenzie has played and was named in 18 so will have to stay there. You'll have to move someone else out of the team to get McKay in.fightingfury_88 is Trent McKenzie classified as a KPD? if not can I put Ben McKay as fullback and drop McKenzie to the bench even though McKenzie has already played?
Approved. Pretty much been the main KPD for Fremantle these past couple of months.Geelong apply for Luke Ryan as a permanent key defender for the remainder of this season. Has changed his role to playing as one of Fremantle's key defenders (along with Brennan Cox) in the absence of Pearce, Hamling, and Logue for what has been the majority of the season now.
