Klay played an all time bad game, but the guy shot 39% from 3 this year, and over the last month was 21.2 points on 48.1% field goal shooting and 41.2% from 3.

He needed to shoot for us to win. He just needed to make them :(
I think some people have a really misguided view of how good Klay is currently.

The guy averaged 18 PPG shooting 39% from 3 and was super durable playing 77 games.

If the majority of the league had the season he had people would not be calling them washed. No doubt prime Klay is long gone, but that is expected. However he still has value as a specialist shooter. Clearly he won't be getting anywhere close to the $40m he currently is on, but he still is a valuable NBA player.

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said: "There is nothing more important than protecting the integrity of NBA competition for our fans, our teams and everyone associated with our sport, which is why Jontay Porter's blatant violations of our gaming rules are being met with the most severe punishment. While legal sports betting creates transparency that helps identify suspicious or abnormal activity, this matter also raises important issues about the sufficiency of the regulatory framework currently in place, including the types of bets offered on our games and players. Working closely with all relevant stakeholders across the industry, we will continue to work diligently to safeguard our league and game."

Integrity? NBA?

LOL

He bet on his own team to lose games their was no other outcome than life sentence. If it was just other teams and a prop bet or two he would of gotten a slap on wrist but can't have it look like guy was rigging his team to lose to make some extra money.

So if the coach had 1/10th a brain he would have benched Oubre Jnr and Lowry after 2 minutes, ran with Hield and Batum and had the zone deal with Batum in the corner and Hield at the 3 point line.

Just doing nothing cos Embiid willl figure it out seems a trait of anyone who ever coaches that team. Maybe Nurse can you know coach the team but not holding my breathe on that one

The weird and amusing thing is he didn't play in those games and he lost all the bets.
