Who's Andrew Collins? when did he play?

Andy Collins played 212 games for Hawthorn between the years 1987 and 1996.

3 time premiership player, Hawthorn B&F winner in 1990.

Bloody good player in his day and was a teacher of mine a few years back.

Unless we've had 2 Andrew Collins that would no doubt be Andy Collins who was one of the best small defenders of his era and the oft forgotten player in the Collins-Langford-Ayres backline.

Does anyone have current numbers for consecutive games? I know Brett Kirk played 200 straight. Anyone else?

Sam Gibson the current leader on 108. Nobody other current player has cracked the 100.

Additions to Gunnar Longshanks's list since 2009 are Brett Kirk (200), Kane Cornes (174), Kade Simpson (158), Jude Bolton (145), Darren Jolly (142), Brett Deledio (140) and Tarkyn Lockyer (136).

And I think you will find that his consecutive games streak came to a halt for a love tap to Yze's stomach. Might have caught him otherwise

Also I just realised you posted this in 2009, a chance for the longest quote, perhaps?

If it was needed then the business case would have provided evidence of this. If it was economically viable private enterprise would have put a business case forward without the need for government subsidies when it was cancelled.
Really?
If so,.that was almost have to be the oldest thread

Not a chance, just last year I bumped a post from 18 years ago.

Note that the Bartlett figure of 173 in not true. I think it is meant to cover period of 1975 to 1982.
KB missed a Richmond match in 1977 when he kicked 4 goals for Victoria v WA in Perth.

Jack Crisp to become just the 6th player to play 200 consecutive games. 194 for Collingwood and 6 for Brisbane.
4 behind Adam Goodes in 3rd with 204.
