There seems to be a lot of talk about this player on BigFooty. On a scholarship from St Bernards and now at MGS, he could be a very handy player whether it be forward or maybe in the ruck. Heard he kicked 18 goals in one game. Will be playing Under 16 Championships and expect him to do very well.

Don't forget he is a underage Year 11 so he still has growth left in him.

Look out for him because he could have a very big year.

Spoke to a couple of the SBC boys before school and they are unaware of these rumours. They don't believe Luke was poached by MGS but rang around a couple of schools applying for scholarships and managed to get a footy scholarship at MGS - Good on him.

The boys did say that SBC are now offering 1 sporting scholarship a year and it goes to their own blood. This year it was awarded to Athletics Champion Johnny Rayner who won gold at the Australian Athletics Champs. Johnny has been their since Year 7 and truly deserves it. Maybe all schools should take a leaf out of SBC's book and look after their own first.

Never chased the scholarships, was offered them out of the blue.

It was agaisnt a team that was put into the A's and played one game and lost by 211 points and went to the c's and finished near bottom.

He is a big hog though, played agaisnt him one day he kicked 1 goal 9.
will have a shot from 50 out when he has men free 20 meters out.

i raced both last year. now johnny rayner has a very good 800 time, but alex rowe is in his own league. from memory, in that race rowe came 1st and rayner came maybe 3rd

i think rayner made state 15 rowey is also good plays a grade footy dont know whether he will be doing cross country this year though
 
johny is best in aus at 8 and so is rowey, johny has a faster pb but recently down at the home of aths, sandy aths track, big roweski knocked off johny in an amazing season opening time of 153.4

lukey mitch kicked 4 goals in a half in a recent praccy match for the cannons and could have snagged a few more had he been selfish. not sure where u got yur info that he kicked 1.9 and was greedy cos he clearly isnt, tho he is one of the best set shots around.

btw got offered the scholarship out of the blue and was quite a tough decision.
 
Sorry to get off track. Don't know much about Luke Mitchel - never seen him play. (The Johnny discussion was more interesting)
