Seeing you seem to be our only contact from the Vice Presidents Club, can you fill us in on what has been going on. Any news regarding:

have there actually been meetings,
website development,
training facilities,
etc, etc

Any news would surely be welcomed.

Yeah, Kmart is a very good source of info. He hasn't been around here for awhile but I see he is still posting on the official board.

Tell us what you know Kmartkid.
 
I have been very busy - in my line of work school holidays are extremely busy (as is the football season).

There have been some VP meetings but at the moment the committee is still working on some fundraising ideas etc. The VP's organisation is a very new concept - sort of a coterie but not really. I think everyone is still working out the exact role they will play in the club.

I would anticipate that changes will not become apparent until after this season. That is when we will be able to sit down without the distraction of each weeks game !

I know there are a couple of VP's who are interested in updating the website.

I will be attempting to get involved in membership issues for next season. I will also be offering a deal whereby 5% of money I receive from Nth members (on presentation of current membership card) will be donated to the club.

I am in a highly specialised surgical field that only involves the area above the neck !

Having seen you numerous times at the footy I believe that I could be of some benefit to you in the future ! :D
 
It seems that Geelong has stolen our concert idea. They have Jimmy Barnes and a couple of other groups. They are hoping to get 10,000 people there. Maybe if it works then we can have ours.........:confused:

Hopefully you will abuse yours this weekend when the boys put the pretty boys back in their place ! I will keep an eye out for you in the AFL members near the coaches box.

Our concert idea was canned because we would of had to risk around $40k and had only 4 weeks to promote it. The VP's involved in the entertainment industry were concerned that this was not enough time to promote the event properly.You notice that the Geelong Concert is not until October. Also they own the venue so that the potential loss will not be great.

If Jimmy Barnes is available, why not use one of the clubs that are part of the co-op project, such as Sunshine Kangaroos (formerly Sunshine YCW). Their home ground is also home to a leisure centre with basketball courts etc. and you could pack in a few hundred.

Can't tell me you won't sell out a Jimmy Barnes show in Braybrook! :D
