When I first heard of this, even until recently I was just like "yeah, cool, I'll at least check it out", but probably in the last couple weeks I've actually started getting pretty interested. Definite day 1 on PC for me.

I've been interested in this since I heard about it probably over 2 years ago. Definitely looks very awesome. In saying that though, I think I'm going to wait a few months so any kinks can be ironed out. If there was a game that has decent risk of failing at launch it's this one.

i think those saying they prefer "RPGs" in third-person really mean they prefer melee combat in third person because generally, first person melee is s**t. definitely a concern, but interested to see how it might work.

That's what most games do. Especially given review codes have been sent out so it would be impossible to review otherwise given how much content they are patching in.

Can confirm ps4 has a 23gb patch.
I have a physical version. And update 1.01 is 23gig.
I’m playing unpatched while it downloads.
Impressed thus far, a bit over an hour in.

A few rough edges, like funny cut scene glitches and the odd dodgy lip sync. (I don’t think this game will ever be quite as polished as the Witcher for instance)
But it’s certainly got me hooked early on.

I saw on the Steam forums that the developers said they were trying to get a preload happening, so I thought I would finally make my purchase so it can get started whenever. Checkout said 14th feb

Just be aware that there's a rumour circling that the day one patch (it hasn't hit for anyone yet, even if you're currently playing) is so extensive that it will replace all save data.

TLDR being that if you're currently playing, expect to have to start again when the patch hits.
