It still doesn't make sense when Pickett's action was more reckless and dangerous than Higgins action regardless of outcome.

Also if outcome is so important how was Maynard let off for his reckless smother/shoulder charge that knocked out Brayshaw.

The problem with the MRO and the tribunal is that they just pick and choose when to apply their guidelines when it suits them so their guidelines aren't really guidelines at all, they are just an inconsistent mess which has both players and supporters confused.

It's a contact sport so head injuries and concussions will happen regardless of how many of these suspensions the AFL hand out.

Hopefully the AFL don't put the equivalent of Glen Patrick Hallahan in charge of assessing on field head injuries like the Queensland Joh Bjelke Petersen Government did appointing him in charge of assessing insurance claims for traffic accidents at the Queensland State Government Insurance Office pre-Fitzgerald.enquiry.
