The Puma Carlton jersey is a retail one. Puma made retail jerseys. This style of monogram was never worn by players. Authentic Carlton jerseys had the overlapping CFC monogram.
Yeah that post was from when Carlton were still with Nike, I find it amazing that Puma made retails of every clubs jumper despite every club rocking a different manufacturer. Like its normal for Sekem to do that but when Puma did it, that was something else

The Avco patch was worn by Carlton in the 1976 preseason games. The preseason jersey also had AVCO written in white above the number on the back.

This is not an authentic jersey though, as the monogram is incorrect. Carlton had a monogram where each letter overlapped the other. Each letter was individually stitched on. The monogram on the pictured jersey resembles the one that was on retail jerseys manufactured by Brandella.

What is this all about?

A Carlton retail jumper manufactured by Nike, with an interlocking monogram. Did someone with the surname Rooney get it personalized?

What is also weird about this jersey is that Virgin Australia was originally positioned above where it finally appears, because there is a faint remnant of Australia just above the heat pressed sponsorship patch. It’s very cheaply produced.

"NFS Don't know what to make of this. Former WA Puma rep had it. He said it was made as a prototype jumper to take to the AFL when jumpers were changing from acrylic/wool to sublimated and Puma wanted to show what it could do with player jumpers using the new fabric with new designs etc (this one for Geelong). Doesn't look like a playing jumper to me... anyone got any information at all?"

"Selling on behalf of the East Fremantle Football Club. This 1986 East Fremantle prototype was one of the two designs considered for the clubs West Coast Eagles marketing campaign to promote the Eagles introduction into the AFL. The club was pushing to wear this design in a few league games back in 1986, however for some unknown reason they never actually fielded the kit.
The funds raised by the sale will go towards the Sharks redevelopment of the playing facilities."
