i play seconds for caulfield and watched the caulfield geelong game in the firsts. Geelong college showed good signs and it should be a big match this weekend? who do you think will win? both sides are unbeaten and full of confidence. anyone got any thoughts as who are the better players for geelong/haileybury and who might be able to win the game?

i havent' heard much about the geelong college team aparently their really hard at, (according to TAC Cup booklet they have a few guns) it will be interesting to see whether the school spirit of college can overcome the wealth and riches of Haileybury

No doubt the trip down the highway could cause some problems for the haileybury team, should be a cracking game and one of the rounds best.

Does A.Raso play for Haileybury?

If so, i would love to go and watch him play.

I suspect haileybury will be too good for geelong, unfortunatly! They just have way too much talent on their payroll.

But on the other side, the haileybury boys will have to spend a whole hour together before the game on the bus. So there might be some fighting, wouldnt be use to spending alot of time together. Hope to god, that the g boys can knock of arrogant pricks for the good of APS football.

yer ive heard geelong have a good spine and some key gun players so it will be a good game, especially down at geelong, shocking ground to play on esp in the wet but hail will still get up.

who else plays this week

xavier vs scotch
college vs hail

anyone else got ne fixtures for round 3?

Geelong College's oval is crap. That is the biggest ********ing overstatement of the year. Scotch's main is the pinacle of main ovals.

this year we (Hale WA) came over and played geelong college with alot of players missing from our first missing and we only lost by 15 pts to their first team and should of beaten them, they looked like they struggled for class a bit and if they are the top team its a bit of a joke.

that wasnt college's first's mate, the team was made up of 1st, 2nds and even some 3rds

Haileybury won by around 40 points. No 5 & 24 dominated. Great game, although scoredboard wouldnt reflect this (college faded away in the last half of the last quarter). Better players for college were 13, 39, 15, 62 & 14. Result might have been different with a full team as they were missing several key players. Including ruck which meant they had to play there CHF in the ruck resulting in the lack of a key targget upforward.

yea gd game .... geelong played well first half and hail played poor ... good contest .. umps are dodgy down there and hill and fleming dominated for hail

raso was pretty quiet.. kicked a nice goal after running through the centre square from hbf but seeme off the pace. did a few nice things though.

Anyone got any other scores?

I know Caufield beat Wesley by about four goals. 29 played well for Caufield early on, apparently he's only a year 10 or 11. Wesley outplayed them in the second half, Caufield went off the pace when it got physical. Caufield were a more skillful side though and the last ten minutes of the 2nd quarter was what decided the match, Caufield banged on about six goals at this point. 22 (Watts) kicked 8 straight for Wesley from CHF too.
