Most Ive won is $24 lol.

I know it has bad payouts but Keno is highly accessible and a bit of fun for a small investment.

You had any luck?

Tips?

There are some systems out there but not sure on their validity or anything.

I find that no.17 comes up ALOT. Won on this Spot 1 about 9 out of 15 times.

I came up with this system that I thought was fool proof. I tried it and the first 5 times I put it on it paid off. Then I lost money the next 3 times I tried it so came to the conclusion it was not as good as I thought.

One of my theories is you need to be prepared to put a decent amount down, and up the value per draw, while picking a low spot number such as 3. A spot 3 payout gives you a return of $32, so having it times 3 gives $96 if it comes in plus you get a return for 2 numbers.

If you play for at least 10 to 15 draws, at a value of $3 per draw that means you fork out $30 for 10 draws and $45 for 15. I have found more often than not I get a positive return but it is really luck.

Even try the same system of play for spot 2 were a return is $12 per $1 investment.

well i had a system which i know would work if you had enough cash to see it through. unfortunately i didn't and it cost me about $400 but hey that happens.

to be absolutely fool proof you need a lot of cash - to keep it profitable you need $64,260 and even then i couldn't garunatee it would work.

Basically the system starts putting $1 on evens (in the heads and tails games) and upping your stake each time so you get profit. This table represents 30 consecutive games of Keno:

#...Time.....Bet...Outlay..Return..Profit.....$/Hr
1... 3.5.......1.......1.......4......3......51.42

first column is the amount of games played until an even occurs. second column is the amount of time this takes (each game is 3.5 mins). third column is the amount you bet on each particular game. fourth is your overall outlay to that point in time. fifth is how much you will get returned if even's occurs in that particular game. sixth column is the overall profit if even's occurs in that particular game. seventh column is the amount of money your earning per hour if you sat down and continually did this.

When evens occurs you go back to game 1 and re-start from there until evens comes again. i.e. first game you bet $1 on evens, second game $2, third game $4, fourth game $6 and so on according to the table.

Given evens is supposed to happen once every six games on average, you'd feel pretty hard done by if you went 30 games without evens occuring.

But remember the time that this cost me $400 it went 18 consecutive games - i had missed a couple of games in there and i wasn't putting as much money on as the table tells me to by the end cause i was running out of cash on me.

There's also a table for using the system for betting on heads or tails, however you need nearly $200,000 to make it fool proof for 15 games. Given a head or tail supposed to happen 42% of the time you'd feel pretty unlucky if it went 15 consecutive games without being either a head or tail (depending on which one your were going with)

#...Time....Bet....Outlay...Return..Profit..Profit
1....3.5.......3........3........6....3.... $51.43

15...52.5...98301...196557...196602...45.... $51.43

But i don't recommend anyway use these things unless you've got the cash and the balls to go through with them.

Most of the Keno systems are computerised... and are therefore rigged to give the lowest payout possible.

The only Keno system I know that isn't drawn by computer is Queensland's Jupiter Keno.

I have a friend who selects 5 numbers at $1 a game for 50 games. Puts it on and then goes back and collects later on. He reckons it is profitable, I have my doubts.

I still do some work at the Lotteries and a variation of this is pretty common. Generally for between 50 and 100 draws people play, with spot 5 giving you $500. So really your looking at putting down $100 for a $400 profit.

While this has been known to pay off, more often than not it does not. I have stood there as people have spent large amounts constantly to get minimal or no returns, they reinvest this and end up with sweet FA.

This sounds similar to one of the methods described.
A few years ago we would sit down at the pub after football and do the following:

Bet $1 on 1 number (odds 1/4 that it would come up), if it didnt come up we would then bet $2 on a single number (normally the same) and so forth until we had a win. (In SA anyway selecting a single number correctly pays 3-1)

Our profit was always equal to the last bet amount plus $1.

What it does is reduce your chances of not having an actual winner, however as you can probably see, if your number does not come up for a while your bets quickly become huge. There are ways of mitigating this risk - ie having upper limit/bail out points - or not escalating your bets as quickly when you pass a certain point.

On the one occasion we had a real crack with it (we were tracking numbers not coming up also), we walked away splitting close to a grand in under an hour.

I.E:

Bet # amount profit if successful
1 $1 $2 (3 x $1 - $1[outlay])
2 $2 $3 (3 x $2 - $1 - $2[outlay])
3 $4 $5 (3 x $4 - $1 - $2 - $4)
4 $8 $9 (3 x $8 - $1 - $2 - $4 - $8)
5 $16 $17 (3 x $16 - $1 - $2 - $4 - $8 - $16)

So in the case where it took 5 turns for the number to come up I have a profit of $17 - but not the outlay is $31.

The only reason this method (sort of works) is the odds of a successful hit (4/1) are close to the odds being paid, and coupled with the bet doubleing it can get you a return.

But obviously there are no guarantees.

Did ok on this method once, but then didn't get my next bet on in time due slow chick behind the bar.....not happy.

I watched the numbers for awhile, researched previous draws and had them in a spreadsheet, keeping track on how many draws went by without each of the numbers coming up. Anything over 12 draws without coming up and i would start with the $1 bet.

Not that i did too much research, as like i said, my fool proof method was shot down by a slow barmaid pretty early on, but the longest streak without a number coming up that i could find was 21 draws.

(Log in to remove this ad.)

One thing I've been told and it does seem to happen is that in most draws, there will be a row and a column with a standout amount of numbers:

Say: 6 numbers between 21-30
4 numbers ending in 7

That's about the only thing I know about the "systematics" of Keno; it is basically down to chance only.

As I side note, I can remember when the Keno screen was just black and white - the numbers were displayed in white inside a thin white square border, with a black background.

oh dear.....

what you are really saying is you know a way of making many many small profits (almost for certain) and then very rarely a massive loss "you would feel pretty unlucky".

Actually, if you play a system like this, which involves playing for a long time, then indeed you would feel pretty lucky if your option always came up.

These games are just a bit of fun. But play long enough and you will lose, no ifs, no buts, no systems, you will lose. If not surely everyone would spend their whole day playing "the system" and drive the government broke ???

Thank god you got out after only losing $400. Your system is fundamentally flawed.

The only thing to remember with any gambling 'system' is that the if the odds are stacked against you over 1 game (which they are), and each game is independent of the previous one (which they are), then no matter how many times you play the odds are stacked against you.

A couple of years ago a friend of mine tried to convince me to give up my job and come and play Keno all day as he was convinced he had an unbeatable system. Who would want to play Keno for a living anyway? My job is much more interesting.

these "just double your bet if you don't win the first time" "systems" are like picking up 5 cent pieces in front of a bulldozer.

A few days ago i was at the pub with some mates and decided to play.
Won $27 with my initial bet then put it all on for one number the next game.
Won that which made it about $80, then just kept dopubling it on heads and took it out at about $650.

Many years ago a friend of the family won 10k on keno which they used to buy a pool which i thought was pretty cool.

3 of us at work play weekly
we have a normal system 8 on the lotto on saturday and with the money left over play a system on keno
not sure how it works but we pick 3 numbers in the first box, 3 in the second box and two in the third box
we tick 'all ways' and play 3 games of it
i know that if all the numbers come out on one line we get about 60 grand
i have no idea about systems on keno

we got 900 bucks once and the 3 of us and our partners had the money for Womad tickets that year:thumbsu:

i still swear blind that once all the tickets are in for each game the computer works out the smallest amount of money it can pay out as a total and then pays out
no way in the world is watching numbers flick up on a screen done by some old biddie at a bingo hall in the local rsl pulling balls with numbers on them out of a bucket

still
id be happy with 50 grand to finish off the block
