Yes, I do, if such a thing happened, but it didnt.

The intelligence agency was working off flawed intelligence. It wasn't part of a Machiavellian plot. They just assumed the 'laptop containing child pr0n/ State secrets/ Pizza and tunnels s**t' was fake news disseminated by the Russians (who had been disseminating fake news stories just like it, by the millions, in the years prior to the story leaking).
