Finished 7th but only two games off top spot and had injuries throughout the year. They played good footy, just like the year before.

They're still the premiers and many had them finishing top 2 this season, top 4 for sure. I reiterate many.

They're a middle of the road side who had a ripping four weeks and happened to do so during the most important four weeks. Everything went right. Expecting them to play like that all year is ridiculous. They are what they are.

Still doesn't take away the premiership though, 17 other clubs would swap the 2 years with us.

Bulldogs had a great final month in 2016 but people forget that they ended the H&A season in 2016 in 7th place, meaning after 22 games there were 6 teams that were better. They were not necessarily that great of a team last year, and are only marginally behind 7th now.
