F: Dennis-Lane White Lamb
HF: Rohan Johnston Jetta
C: Meredith Bird Hannebery
HB: Heath Reid Sumner
B: Smith Spangher Everitt

Many of these names might not mean much to other clubs' supporters, but this side is reason for a lot of excitement for Swans fans.

Richmond's is very close to their actual best 22

B: Dea, Rance, Astbury

M: Houli, Conca, Grigg
HF:Edwards, Vickery, Webberly
F: Nahas, Riewoldt, Nason

Changes made after this season. The forward line is great to see considering that is our forward line right now playing finals (minus Jetta). ROK, Goodes, Mummy rotate through there but spend most of their time in the middle. So that forward line and midfield is cause for a lot of optimism. Tom Mitchell on the way as well.

Young 'N' Brown O'Brien....Thats just one player!?
Subtle

Geelong (obviously) don't have the same number of players under 23 that most of the other teams have, however there is certainly a high level of QUALITY in the team - if lacking (on paper) in depth. Geelong only have 26 players under 23 on their list, with 10 of those either being on the Rookie list or having not yet played an AFL senior game.

Weston I have selected on the HBF, yet he is a chance to not be retained by the Cats after a year cruelled by injury/ poor form. Before this year I thought he was an exciting part of our future so I hope he is given another year - as we know however, Clubs are ruthless when it comes to list management so I am not expecting Weston to be with the Cats in 2012.

D.Simpson is very unlucky to not be in the side, but it highlights the positive future of the ruck division at Geelong post Ottens

Is the 'rule' is born 87 or later, I'd probably give Deledio a run and have Graham ahead of Browne.

We have 27 players currently 23 and under to choose from + 5 who have already turned 24 this year.

If you picked the 22 youngest from our current list, the oldest player in that team would be Webberley ( b. 12.07.88 ) who would be the only 23 year old. (Connors turns 23 in 6 days)

Update:

North currently have 30 players on the list who were born during 87 or after, taking into account 2011 delistings.

B: Macmillan - Tarrant - Richardson
HB: Greenwood - Hansen - Atley
C: Anthony - Cunnington - Bastinac
HF: Adams - Pedersen - Harper
F: Wright - Black - Thomas
R: Goldstein - Ziebell - Swallow
Int: Campbell - Speight - Mullett - Garlett

Daw
C. Delaney
L. Delaney
Kennedy
Mabon
McKinley
Urquhart
Warren

Naitanui Shuey S Selwood

Int: Mginnity swift B Wilson
Sub: Dalziell

Bolded are in our current best 22 imo

Born 1987 and later hey... That gives us 29 eligible players (32, but three of them definitely won't be here next year). Here's the Crows:

Adelaide Crows

B: Matthew Jaensch, Will Young, Tony Armstrong
HB: Luke Thompson, Daniel Talia, Andy Otten
C: Brodie Martin, Patrick Dangerfield, David Mackay
HF: Ricky Henderson, Shaun McKernan, Jared Petrenko
F: Taylor Walker, Kurt Tippett, Matthew Wright
RR: Sam Jacobs, Rory Sloane, Richard Douglas,

INT: Aiden Riley, Myke Cook, Brodie Smith, James Sellar (sub)

EMG: Chris Schmidt, James Craig, Jarryd Lyons, Sam Shaw

Not counted: Sam Martyn, Lachlan Roach, Jake von Bertouch

Not considered (because they're not at the club anymore): Phil Davis, Jack Gunston, Tim Milera

R: leuenberger, redden, rich
INT: green, obrien , retzlaff
SUB dyson

FB: Hibberd - Pears -Hardingham
HB: Heppell - Hooker - Myers
C: Zaharakis - Melksham - Colyer
HF: Crameri - Carlisle - Steinberg
FF: Jetta - Hurley - Reimers
R: Ryder - Howlett - Hocking
Inter: Bellchambers - Ross - Browne - Long

Only the bolded are not in our best 22 IMO.

B: Garland Frawley Bennell
HB: Tapscott Grimes Strauss
C: Morton Trengove Jones
HF: Howe Watts Petterd
F: Jurrah Cook Maric
R: Gawn Gysberts McKenzie
I/C: Bartram Dunn Bail Blease

Emergency: Jetta Nicholson McDonald

A bit of depth there with Wonneamirri, Evans, Fitzpatrick and Bate not selected as well as a few others whom are yet to debut. I've picked Lucas Cook despite him having not played yet.

Jack Viney to be drafted

s**t, Essendon all of a sudden have a very good base for the next 10 years. Only potentially obviously, but it still looks good.

Still lacking midfield depth and probably a genuine small forward. Nice spread though.

FB: MacMillan Tarrant Mullett
HB: Greenwood Hansen Richardson
C: Speight Cunnington Bastinac
HF: Adams Black Harper
FF: Wright Pedersen Thomas
R: Goldstein Swallow Ziebell
I/C: Daw Atley Anthony Campbell

From the best 22, it's missing Harvey ('78), Petrie ('82), Edwards ('84), McIntosh ('84), Wells ('85), Grima ('85), Thompson ('86) and McMahon ('86).

An abundance of midfield depth. The defence obviously looks stronger with McMahon and Thompson, who were only just ineligible. Replacing Petrie in a few years time will be the difficult thing.

FB: D. Addison - L. Markovic - S. Reid
HB: A. Hooper - E. Wood - J. Schofeild
C: C. Howard - S. Higgins - J. Tutt
HF: J. Sherman - L. Jones - N. Djerrkura
FF: J. Grant - J. Hill - P. Veszpremi
FOLL: J. Roughead - T. Liberatore - L. Dahlhaus

INT: M. Wallis - B. Stack - A. Cordy - M. Panos

Bold are the only players I can see set in out 22 next year. List includes Panos (0 games), Schofeild, Cordy, Tutt and Howard with only a few games each.
This team is quite worrying tbh...

Lewis and Bailey drop off our list this year, but we're looking good for the moment (Roughy and Franklin drop off next - won't see many Hawks in these threads then)

FB...Suckling...Lisle................Stratton
HB...Birchall...Schoenmakers....Cheney
C.....Smith.....Shiels...............Whitecross
HF...Rioli........Franklin.............Schneider
FF...Puopolo...Roughead..........Bruest
R....Renouf.....Ellis..................Savage
IC...Lowden, Sierakowski, Langford, Mengola

E: Morton, Milne, Grimley, Wanganeen, Duryea, Williams, Mahoney, Hallahan, Litherland

14 of our best 25, down from 17 last year.

FB: Hibberd - Pears -Hardingham
HB: Heppell - Hooker - Myers
C: Zaharakis - Melksham - Colyer
HF: Crameri - Carlisle - Steinberg
FF: Jetta - Hurley - Reimers
R: Ryder - Howlett - Hocking
Inter: Bellchambers - Ross - Browne - Long

Only the bolded are not in our best 22 IMO.
Impressive list, but by your logic, only 4 of the following players are in your best 22:
Fletcher
McVeigh
Hille
Lovett-Murray
Welsh
Williams
Davey
Winderlich
Watson
Dyson
Slattery
Stanton
Prismall

Really?

NLM
Hille
McViegh(50-50)
Arent in our best 22 IMO
and williams is retired
So that leaves
Stanton
Watson
Fletch
and Winderlich
