Amazing how good a squad you can put together when your state produces decent cricketers regularly
Some really good young players coming through as well.
Quality players produce quality opposition, which helps to keep continuing to produce quality players,

It’s why NSW have historically had so many international players.

Not just T20 though.
WA would be odds on to win the other two formats again this year.
Seems like they get good enough but not good enough for Australia

Green and Richardson have proved they can play Test cricket.

M.Marsh is a short form gun,

Inglis and Hardie seem like they could represent Australia in short form,

Wyllie. Wasley, Collins coming through. Who knows, seems a bit early too be writing kids off.

Morris in the Test squad, seems a prospect.

Roc is still a young spinner, might have promise.

If you don’t rate the current WA talent, I guess you’d be in the crowd pumping up Street for the Test team.

They just don't seem to be in vogue nothing against the talent

Inglis got passed over by Carey
Whiteman/Bancroft over by Harris
Kelly/Richardson over by Boland
Hardie over by Renshaw at 6

They just don't seem to be able displace C11 players

Good points
I think we’ll see the standard produce better players still moving forward.

Richardson has been injured though in the group you mention.

It’s a good example though of the silly criticism CA cop for picking NSW players. When you have a superior Grade set up, you’re going to produce superior players.

I’m pretty happy with the current WA system, and I can see an avalanche of Test quality in the not too far.

Systems, depth, quality, produce Test cricketers,, just as much as talent.

Also Hardie and Morris are very young.
Hardie is quality,

Morris is a mile off, good to have him in the system though.
I’d like to see Morris in the Australian squad for a year learning from quality international players.
But then the whingers are going to start up he’d be better off hanging out with Shield and Grade cricketers.

Nothing to say Marsh or Hardie couldn't open and the other at 3. Or bat 3 and 4, moving Inglis up to open.
Fair point re: Hardie opening - he has the game

Inglis needs to stay at 4 - plenty of big hitting opening options in the country

Few middle order batsman who can profit against spin from overs 6-14

The 3 city's that have really embraced BBL from day 1 .
Adelaide, Brisbane+Perth.Would be great if the Strikers and Heat get going again. For the BBL...20,000 at yesterdays game.
Next season with 20 less games.Hope the BBL still fixture games outside the big city's.Been a real success this season.

Hardies straight and on driving is very opener like.
Probably not as noticeable in BBL compared to his brutal pull shot, but he is a sublime driver of the ball.

Looks fine to me, particularly given they only really re-jigged the order to fit in Faf and Lyth being the only immediately available imports anyway.

I think most prefer Inglis where he is rather than opening.

We should buy Phillippe back so he can open.
Then get David back.

I prefer Inglis to open than Hardie.

Philippe wants to keep so can't imagine him moving back.
David has another 2 years at Tassie.

I think our biggest concern will be holding onto guys like Kelly, Banners, Hatzoglou and even Payne.

Agree. I actually have concerns about hanging onto players in the Shield format.
