Essendon's and Collingwood's match on Anzac Day ended in a draw.

Last night, Collingwood defeated Carlton 79-85 and tonight Essendon defeated West Coast 71-77 as the "away" team, ending with the same tight margin of 6 points

I posted this on the deaths list on General Discussion, but former Dockers player Cam McCarthy who died on Thursday (also the first GWS Giants AFL player to die) was born on 1st April 1995 - the same day that the Fremantle Dockers played their first ever game against Richmond at the MCG - while the last Dockers game played in his sadly short lifespan was Richmond vs. Fremantle at the MCG last Sunday.

It's like when Alan Bond died in 2015, he was Tigers president and Bond Corporation Richmond's major sponsor in the 1980s and at the same time put Fremantle on the map with the defense of the America's Cup in 1987. A Fremantle vs Richmond game happened to be played at Subiaco Ovel on the same day of his passing.

In both drawn games this season, the scores were 12.13.85 on Anzac Day and reversed 13.12.90 today

Both grand finalists drew with two teams outside of the top 8 last year, with both grand finalists playing away. Both Brisbane and Collingwood started the season 0-3.

Went to the game on Friday and took a pic at nearly the same time as well (1 minute earlier) - just loved the symmetry of the score.

Funny enough we are sitting right on the edge of that pic - can just make us out.
