I got into the nhl a while and only just found the australian league and will be going to the ice game this saturday. I'm thinking this will be a good game as melbourne ice could move up to 2nd if they win. but one question for anyone that has being what is the seating like at medibank ice house? does anyone have like a seating map? where would be the best places to sit?
My advice is get there early. Viewing is pretty good from most seats but to avoid the areas blocked by players benches it is probably better from upper seats.
That said if you want the best viewing possible stand and watch from close to a corner. The far end is usually a little less hectic than the entry end.
You see everything up very close and see the full rink.

So here we are 2 days from knowing who plays off for the goodall cup. Been a cracker of a year all round. Its pretty safe to say now the best net will win.

Ice Dogs v North Stars for the Goodall Cup today.

Melbourne played their best hockey in a month during the first period of the semi, but Kimlin and a horror 5 min penalty to Chris Frank stopped us in our tracks. Sydney, as they were all season, just too strong for us. Pretty down about it, knowing how hard the lads work and what it means to them and despite the bullshit calls from people with tall poppy syndrome on FB and twitter, they were all class in defeat.

Perth struggled in their first tilt. Great season from them though and considering the race for the final spot in the 4 with the Mustangs you can see that the League has gone up a notch. Great contingent of travelling fans.

Well said SonOfScray. The great pity is that a poor refereeing decision denied the fans of an even better game. Jeff Scott is the best ref going around but a call that should have been a simple 2 min penalty if at all was given as that 5 minute major. The Dogs player was not injured in the slightest and there was no intent to injure. Chris Frank's reputation and the continuing urging of the games head of officials to penalize him out of games has been a disgrace.
The Dogs certainly deserved their championship and Kimlin's performance all season was stellar.
