Girls look tired

They are. Been a long season for the young and inexperienced group. Injuries have not been kind either. Win, lose or draw they have turned things around this season. The program now has some direction. Some decent drafting, continuing to focus on development and the youngsters maturing will give us a decent platform for the future. We have picked up some good role players this year.

Creative recruitment has brought us some excellent “experienced” players, hopefully, bar McWilliams they are good to go next year too.

Hopefully we trade Vescio while we might get something decent back. Looked lethargic and disinterested tbh. Would look at trading Laloifi, Pound and Petersen too, hit the draft, go for youth as they have better skills than the generation before. Pick 3 in Vic pool plus more picks from trades....yes please!

You don't sell your soul for draft picks. The latter three you mentioned are as skilled as anybody else in the team and display great leadership. You're also not going to get much for players nearing or over 30.

We saw how hard it was to develop our list when we traded out most of our experience in 2015.

Most of that is nonsense. Kez, Mua and Gab are our core for the kids to build around, add Cordner now. Vescio is OK, but does not warrant a marquee spot, which I believe they still hold. Would love Darcy to give back to the group and hang around on a lesser deal, but would be an interesting one.

I wouldn’t trade Darcy as an original team member she adds a lot to the fabric of the team but hopefully she sticks around on a basic wage and continues to invest in the younger players.
