Bah. First no voter (after joking about it for the bye).

Walsh BOG (5,5). Fisher likely a 4,1. (it is mathematically possible for him to be 3,2) which would make either Doherty or De Koning a 3,1 and everyone else gets votes from just one coach.

Other possibility is one Saad or Kennedy 1,1 Fisher (3,2) and same as the first scenario where 4 players receive their votes from one coach.

What it does say with the best players list is that you have to go through quite a few Carlton players before you get to a Fremantle player who had influence on the game.

Geez some strange votes this week.

Fremantle v Port Adelaide

9 Sean Darcy (FRE)
9 Rory Lobb (FRE)
3 Jordan Clark (FRE)
3 Connor Rozee (PORT)
3 Ollie Wines (PORT)
3 James Aish (FRE)

Darcy with a 4-5, whilst nothing for the inside mids.

Rozee up to 8th in the overall leaderboard by the way. Coaches would see more than just the eye catching players, but geez he is electric with his pace/evasion. Haven't watched the replay to see how he looked on TV, but at the ground he stood out. Someone with his traits would be perfect for our side.

Darcy did get the most clearences.

Our votes look strange? How about the WCE votes. They get beaten by 35 and still account for half the overall coaches votes 🙄

I can't fathom how AB got no votes for that game. We lose without him, simple as that. Love Darcy but dominating the ruck was par for the course when you're up against Finlayson. I think he gets votes on Brownlow night.
And, Port don't get even close without Dixon.

There must be a universal man-crush on Rozee that I'm unaware of.

Fyfe's first votes, brings us up to 22 vote getters.
Brayshaw now has more votes than all but Fyfe's Brownlow year (88 in 2019) since 2016 (when I started recording them)
More votes than any year since 2016.
Schultz with votes in 4 games surpassing last year's 3 games.

IIRC Fyfe cracked the ton for coaches votes in 2015 (but that was a ridiculous season from him)

The AFLCA website now has all the votes back to 2006.

Added in Neale and Walters for 16 and 17.

So if Brayshaw keeps his voting average up he has a chance to beat Fyfe’s vote record for the club. Will be interesting to see whether that translates to Brownlow votes

Brayshaw needs to lift his average ever so slightly. 4.5 votes a game this season over 16 games for 72 - six games left takes it to 99.
he'd cracked 90 votes after about round 11 iirc lol

With a ten vote game against Gold Coast, he did. He scored all his votes by round 14 that season.

Didn’t Horse destroy the integrity of the coaches award by giving Hanneberry top votes to steal the award from Fyfe
that year ? From memory Rodney Eade didn’t award any votes to him but horse gave him top votes to ensure he won it.

Dan got seven votes in that game, 5 from Horse and 2 from the opposition coach to put him one vote ahead of Fyfe who hadn't scored a vote for two months.

To be fair to Hannebery he did have 32 touches and nine clearances... but Mitchell had 36, 12 tackles and 7 clearances with both scoring a goal.

I don't think it was unreasonable to give Hannebery the votes, he had a pretty good game. We just expected his coach to make sure he got over the line on the votes and that's exactly what happened.
