Zz Tholstrup and Odriscoll great results

196-198 cm 20m sprint agility and vertical top tier that is pretty handy.

Very suprised with Tholstrup results as well his endurance and agility is great, I thought he was a Jake Stringer type player.
Yea think Tholstrup will got top 15 to 20 in this draft

Some good Geelong Falcons results there by Anastopolous and Rudd. Impressive by Rudd for a big guy!

Some good results although I’m not sure why they really continue with the state combine. All the participants in the national will be chosen for list spots and maybe a couple of spots/rookies out of the state testing. I guess they may be looking for a diamond.

Has there ever been anyone miss a list spot that completed the national testing?
I know of 2 from last year's SA national invitees didn't get selected and about 4/5 from the state combine did either in ND or rookie

Yes multiple people miss out from national testing every year.

State Combine produces some very good players as well.

Is anyone allowed to go and watch or do you need a special pass? Just curious for the SA one this weekend?
Need official media accreditation, or be part of an AFL clubs football department

Yes these lads are a little one dimensional but Weatherill with 37 goals and an outstanding finals series including Morris with 30 goals in the Coates League are unlucky not to feature in the 48.

I’m not convinced, 61 invited initially to the national combine. I’m tipping nearly all those players will be drafted. Doesn’t leave many spots for those in the Vic, SA and WA state combines. Anyway, let see what unfolds.

Hey...We're just more agile over here in WA!

Being serious for a second. It was 35-36c that day so 2K is down a bit. Maybe the warmer temp helped the shoes grip a tad better, much like tyres on a race car, helping agility times??

Combine alone doesn't dictate a player's likelihood of being drafted and every recruiter will complete their due diligence, the combine is merely a rough indicator. Recruiters take into account the vast majority of factors that affect a player's performance well before they give their determination.

The AFL has released the names of 61 players invited to attend the 2023 AFL Draft Combine.

The AFL Draft Combine will showcase many of the country’s most talented draft-age boys footballers.

The three-day event will be held in Melbourne from Friday, October 6 to Sunday, October 8.

Club interviews and medical screenings will be conducted at the MCG on Friday and Saturday, with physical testing to be held at Margaret Court Arena on Sunday.

Physical testing:

Vertical jump
Running vertical jump
20-metre sprint
Agility test
2km time trial

All states and territories will be represented at the 2023 AFL Draft Combine, with the invite list including all 20 draft-age players recently selected in the 2023 AFL National Championships U18 Boys All-Australian team.

Selection to attend the AFL Draft Combine was based on the number of nominations provided by AFL recruiters, with all 18 clubs submitting a list of preferred Combine attendees.

AFL Talent Ambassador Kevin Sheehan said the 2023 AFL Draft Combine provided another opportunity for players to showcase their ability ahead of this year’s AFL Draft.

“The players invited to the 2023 AFL Draft Combine are considered by AFL club recruiters to be among the top prospects in this year’s draft pool.” Sheehan said.

“The Combine will provide these young stars another opportunity to display their physical attributes during athletic testing. It also gives AFL clubs the opportunity to gain a better insight into each player during interviews.

“In many ways the Combine is the final piece of the puzzle ahead of the upcoming AFL Draft.”
