im with you southerntakeover...sounds like a versatoile player. i like his bio though. if he plays with speed and great at stoppages then im happy

I don't know smith from adam, never seen him.

I'd be a bit more excited however if I saw the word "safe" being used to describe him a little less

has played two years of senior football at WWT, so hes already got experience at league and finals football

i think hes better than polec but polec has the x factor

I'll touch on the negatives early. He hasn't got the most sublime kick on him and he won't have the 'top speed' that some people want. Decision making needs some work.

Now onto the good stuff. This guy has a nose for the footy in deep. Second only to Prestia in emerging with the footy of the kids I saw with this year. Not only would Brodie get the ball, but he'd take one or two side-steps and escape the clutches of tackles to clear the ball.

As much as his DC testing says otherwise, I rate this kids first step, especially his sideways step. He's always on his toes and doesn't get caught back footed.

Whilst he played off the HBF for WWT, he was strictly a mid in the champs and flourished there. Just puts in 100% this kid, does the little things you want as a team mates, especially in the engine room.

While I touched on his kicking not being in the 'Heppell' range, it's solid. Can drill passes at times.

He reads the ball very well off hands and that adds to his inate ability to be a step ahead. He's very balanced with the footy and can clear the ball on either foot (thump kicks). He shows real intelligence with his handballs releasing teammates in right areas. He also finds a way to get his hands free in tackles (something Crows don't do overly well).

Good core strength for his ages and this helps his ability to break tackles. He may not rate his tackles and admidts they need work, but they're very solid for his slightness.

Closes very well on the chase. His agility is also something that is better than his DC indicates. Very courageous.

He shouldn't be too far off being in the squad.
