Buckle up, Freo faithful. It's going to be an interesting year. Depending on injuries, growth of our young players, performance of our free agents, and covid impacted scheduling, we could be middle of the pack again or find a way to start clawing up the ladder. I thought we would end up in a similar position as last year, but what I'm seeing and hearing out of training is making me a believer. Being a glass half full kinda guy, I'm going all in.

I'm a thread virgin, so here it goes! I put my predictions first and then a blank template afterwards to make it easier to copy/paste into a new message. Show us whatcha got, Nostradamus.

Sorry to not play along, and not be original, but I agree with yours.

Interesting people predicting we'll play finals, but have Taberner as our best goal kicker with only 40 goals.

Hawkins, Fritsch, McKay, Cameron, Reiwoldt and Franklin kicked over 50 goals this year. He has to be amongst them.

More concerning though is who will be our No 2.

The top 4 teams manage roughly 100 goals between their top 2 goal kickers.

Melbourne: Fritsch 59 + Pckettt 40 = 99 goals
Bullfrogs: Bruce 48 + Naughten 47 = 95 goals
Geelong: Hawkins 62 + Cameron 39 = 101 goals
Brisbane: Cameron 55 + Daniher 46 = 101 goals

Fremantle: Taberner 37 + Schultz 22 = 59 goals

If Taberner plays all 22 games he should kick 50+, AND we need one (or more) of Lobb, Schultz, Treacy or Walters to kick 40+

I think we'll actually have a really big spread. Can definitely see Tabs over 50, especially if he stays fit, but I expect you'll see quite an even contribution from the bigs, plus improvement fron Walters and Schulz. I also think our input from midfield and the wings is going to be significant, and we'll end up being one of the more free-scoring sides in the comp.

All this plus if Sturt can stay fit he can add a few goals.

Loving the optimism here. Always useful to look outside the club for predictions to stay grounded though.
Mick Mcguane in the herald sun today rates our midfield 15th out of 18 clubs, with only Adelaide, north and Gold Coast considered to have a worst midfield group than Freo by him.

And you think that is accurate? Lol.

Yep, have to say we will be lucky to make the 8. Plenty has to go right with injury.
But not impossible.
A win against any top 4 team, Derby wins and disposing of the teams around the
mark and we are there.
Don’t agree with Fyfe, Mundy, Brayshaw, Serong, with Darcy we are that poor midfield.
I’d take 7th or eighth in a heartbeat this year, really feels like we will prove plenty of doubters wrong.

The bottom team and 3 from interstate.

I wonder who his readers are? My guess - Victorians.
