If we're picking between Marsh and Stoinis I'm picking Marsh

Marsh won us games overseas

But most people don't follow our games overseas, huh

I think there's room for both, not like we have an abundance of batting talent waiting in the wings.

Although he was facing crap like Pretorius at the end. How does a bloke like that get a game?

Can't disagree there, still have to finish the job though.

Marsh doesn't know how to play spin, better suited as a finisher than a #3 despite his form over the winter

Stoinis to open, Inglis for Wade, and Finch out with a middle order bat coming in. Just looks a lot more balanced. Inglis is a better finisher and if Stoinis plays he opens. Maxwell captain

Langer pushing around Maxwell. Some of the silly press would love to report it as physical abuse by the coach.

I still struggle to get much excited for any meaning out of T20 cricket.
It nice if Australia win but I also do not really care if we lose.
I wonder if it just me or most Aussie cricket fans.
All I really care about it the Test series coming up but tune into bits and pieces of T20 because there not other stuff on.
But I cannot maintain watching it like a proper cricket game I care about. I have to just watch it 5 minutes here and there or some highlights as there is not a lot of meaning for me in much of what goes on.

Marsh has a strike rate of 104 or around that against spin. He’s far from a good player of spin same as Stoinis. Batting at 3 you are more likely going to be playing spin straight up whereas at 6/7 facing the seamers in the last 5.

Personally franchise cricket is what I follow more in t20 form. This WC being at a rubbish time slot doesn’t help for us. Only so many 1am games you can watch.

The Ashes and the women’s Ashes is more exciting

Not a huge Wade fan but he showed today he keeps his place. Stayed cool calm and collected. Pretty handy at using the pace to get over short fine leg.

Stoinis and Marsh are virtually either hitting over long off or slogs through mid wicket.

Marsh plus better when he’s had a few overs. He can tee off straight away but he’s not fantastic at it.

Do feel we missed a trick not having a genuine hitter in the squad like a Ben Cutting. Bloke doesn’t have to bowl just slog at no7-8.

In an ideal world you wouldn't have Wade in your best team but at least he looks to score every ball and doesn't seem to be selfishly putting himself first whether that's deliberate or because of a lack of impulse control but at least if you had him opening with Inglis you're going to get something out of the start. At the moment it seems we'll either lose wickets or have only made 16 runs off the first 4 overs.

He was better than usual today but Inglis is better in that role. Inglis can hit all those shots and is better with the gloves.

Cartwright and Coulter-Nile are also others that can hit out straight away

Problem is won’t get a few overs in this comp. Pretty clear most sides will have 2 genuine seamers, 2 spinners and bowling all arounders that are either spin like Maxwell or slower ball specialist like Bravo.

The side was average but we didn’t help ourselves. Phillipe should have been given more of a go too

England have a pretty good batting line up Ali and Woakes at 7/8 handy but looking at the windies they have Pollard Dre Rus and Bravo at 6/7/8
