Final draft of the draw is in the Border today, a few small changes from when Albert last analysed it:

"Each team draw can be ranked on how hard it is by allocating points to the teams based on where they finished last year, i.e Kiewa 1, Thurgoona 2, Mitta 3 etc, and then adding up the number of points of the teams you only play once. Gives a good picture of who gets hard draws, where the higher the number, the harder the draw."

1.Kiewa, play Mitta (3), Barny (5), Beech (7), Tallangatta (11) only once, so Kiewa's 2012 draw score would be 26. Ranked 5th
2.Thurgoona: Saints (12) DMB (8) Yack (9) & Chiltern (10) Total 39. Ranked 1st.
3.Mitta: Kiewa (1), Barny (5), Wah (4), Ruth (6) Total 22. Ranked 12th
4.Wahgunyah: DMB (8) Tall (11) Mitta (3) Saints (12) Total 34. Ranked 2nd
5.Barny: Mit (3) Kiewa (1) Yack (9) Ruth (7) Total 19. Ranked 10th
6.Rutherglen: Barny (5) Tall (11) Beech (7) Mitta (3) Total 26 Ranked eq 5th
7.Beechworth: DMB (8), Ruth (6), Kiewa (1), Tall (11) Total 26 Ranked eq 5th.
8.DMB: Beech (7), Wah (4), Thur (2), Chil (10) Total 23 Ranked 9th
9.Yack: Saints (12), Thur (2), Barny (5), Chil (10) Total 29 Ranked 4th
10.Chiltern: Yack (9), DMB (8), Saints (12), Thur (2) Total 31. Ranked 3rd.
11.Tallangatta: Beech (7), Wah (4), Ruth (6), Kiewa (1) Total 18. Ranked 11th.
12.Saints: Thur (2), Yack (9), Chil (10), Wah (4) Total 25 ranked 8th.

Saints get a tough draw, meeting Kiewa, Mitta & Barny twice, all of whom get easier draws.
Losers from the draft draw to the final are Chiltern, who went from the 10th hardest draw to 3rd hardest, and Yack who finished 9th and have the 4th hardest draw. Barny are the big winners, going from 3rd hardest to 10th hardest after finishing 5th last year. Mitta are also big winners and would have to be considered early favourites to finish on top with the easiest draw despite finishing 3rd last year. Kiewa would be happy, being the premiers and getting the 5th ranked draw. Thurgoona & Wahgunyah toughest draws will have to do it the hard way.

Dnt really understand why they give the saints barny mitts and kiewa twice ? What you think the top 5 will be ?

Hey old mate, why don't you rank them by who they play twice not once thats only four teams. There is seven other teams (per club) in the comp to play against????

Fair to say its not someone from within the club given their lack of knowledge of anything thats really going on...!

Also a bit ordinary to say that Cook stayed for more money when he turned down massive offers from several clubs because he wanted to remain loyal to Barny. Proved he has a lot of character unlike many other blokes around the traps that put their own names out there to sell themselves to the highest bidder...!

He's a Barny Boy for life and doesn't play for coin just bananna's . Barny had a great year after being written off but they will be stronger and should go that extra step.

With Yack the reason Castle has join is to play in a winning inter league side. :thumbsu:
