I missed my anniversary on April 19. It was ten years ago that I joined Big Footy along with a few other of us refugees from the old Bulldogs site blog. I had been hoping that by now we would have won the Premiership, but, what the heck. However, as I will be 60 next year, the Doggies better hurry up.
I've given up on seeing the Chicago Cubs win the World Series. Hey, it's been 103 years since the Cubs' last championship, so I doubt that it will happen in my lifetime. Even my father who lived to 80 years, never got to see his beloved Chicago White Sox(yecchh) win the World Series. He missed it by 15 months.
I will always remember the fun times in the earlier years on BF and having the privilege of meeting some BF Doggie members, especially during my 2002 trip to Melbourne. The Chicago1 cap, a gift from some of you, still sits on top of my computer.
