ADELAIDE

Jonathan Griffin – the WA ruckman has expressed a desire to return to Perth for family reasons. If a deal can’t be done he is happy to stay.

Possible clubs - West Coast and Fremantle

James Sellar – Former first round draft pick, the ruckman/forward has failed to make his mark and is linked to Carlton as part of an exchange.

Possible clubs - Carlton

Nathan Bock – Gone, Gold Coast.

BRISBANE

Jared Brennan – The exciting utility has attracted plenty of interest from Victorian clubs in particular Carlton and Essendon but looks set to be traded to Gold Coast for a first round pick.

Possible clubs – Gold Coast, Essendon, Carlton

Mitch Clark – Reportedly seeking a move back to WA with the Fremantle Dockers as his preferred destination. Clark, a former number nine draft pick, can play in the ruck and as a key position player and is still under contract.

Possible clubs – Fremantle, West Coast

Justin Sherman – Almost certain to be leaving the Lions with several clubs said to be interested. The Tasmanian is keen on a move to Victoria and Richmond was his preference but a $1.6 mil over four years deal in Sydney may entice him.

Potential clubs – Bulldogs, Richmond, Sydney

Ash McGrath – May be another casualty at Brisbane with salary cap troubles forcing McGrath to listen to offers. His Melbourne based agent has been active in speaking to clubs.

Potential clubs - unknown

Michael Rischitelli – Gone, Gold Coast.

CARLTON

Sam Jacobs – The Carlton big man is out of contract and has put in a request to be traded to the Crows. A deal will be done.

Potential clubs – Adelaide Crows.

Andrew Walker – The 2003 number-two draft pick has never really lived up to the hype and is reportedly looking for a fresh start. A solid performance in the Blues elimination final may bump up his value.

Potential clubs – Adelaide Crows, Western Bulldogs

Shaun Grigg – Another Blue certain to be departing, Grigg has shown plenty of promise in navy blue and has disappointed many by deciding to leave. Has expressed his preference of joining Richmond.

Potential clubs - Richmond

Bret Thornton – The defender has been long linked to the exit doors and at 28 if a suitable replacement can be found it may happen in 2010. May be used in an exchange deal for Chris Tarrant.

Potential clubs – Hawthorn, Fremantle

Setanta O’hAilpan – The Irish experiment may be over at the Blues following reports that O’hAilpan is keen to test the waters of trade week.

Potential clubs – unknown

COLLINGWOOD

Josh Fraser – Once an automatic selection, the former number-one pick has lost his position in the ruck to new arrival Darren Jolly. Has played 200 games and is still only 28 so there is life in his career yet.

Potential clubs – Gold Coast, Fremantle

John Anthony – After booting over 50 goals in 2009, Anthony couldn’t buy a game in 2010 and with the emergence of Chris Dawes he is firmly on the outer. A highly rated set shot, if available he is sure to attract interest. Another player linked in a Tarrant deal.

Potential clubs – unknown

ESSENDON

Bachar Houli – Wasn’t in the plans of former coach Matthew Knights and at seasons end Houli was fed up. Desperate to prove himself the midfielder, who is out of contract, was certain to leave until the announcement of Hird as coach. He is still likely to depart but there is less certainty.

Potential clubs – Richmond, Carlton

Brett Stanton, David Myers, Leroy Jetta and Alwyn Davey are all now likely to re-sign after Hird’s arrival.

FREMANTLE

Chris Tarrant – An absolute definite to leave, Tarrant can thank Fremantle for resurrecting his career. Fremantle are unlikely to give him up cheap but there are plenty of potential suitors waiting to bid.

Potential clubs – Carlton, Collingwood, Hawthorn

Clayton Hinkley – The Victorian midfielder who has been starved of opportunity, could be thrown a lifeline by Melbourne who are rumoured to be considering Hinkley on a one-year deal.

Potential clubs – Melbourne

GEELONG

Nathan Djerrkura – NT-product who has failed to make his mark at Kardinya Park due to injury and very strong competition is in search of a new home. Has already told the Cats of his wish to exit and he has their support heading into the exchange.

Potential Clubs – Bulldogs, Gold Coast

Ryan Gamble – Another who hasn’t managed to earn a regular spot at the Cats, Gamble is a dominant player in the VFL and deserves a chance. He may seek a trade.

Potential clubs – unknown

Mark Blake – With Shane Mumford’s departure and Brad Ottens’ injuries, 2010 was the perfect chance for Blake to make his mark. But he again failed to grab the opportunity and with Trent West developing there are question marks on whether both can remain at the Cattery next year.

Potential clubs – unknown

Gary Ablett – Gone, Gold Coast

HAWTHORN

Beau Dowler – Another story of unfulfilled potential, there is a strong chance Dowler will not be at the Hawk next year. Whether that is through a trade or delisting remains to be seen.

Potential clubs - unknown

Campbell Brown – Gone, Gold Coast

MELBOURNE

Brad Miller – Although delisted, Miller is looking a likely recruit for Richmond’s mature age rookie list. Just 27 years old, plenty of football left in the Queenslander but if the deal is done it won’t be this week.

Potential clubs - Richmond

Matthew Warnock – As several clubs seek key defender options, Warnock is another name that is being thrown up. Reports from the Demons though suggest he is likely to remain where he is.

Potential clubs – unknown

Cameron Bruce – There’s been little talk lately of a Bruce departure but following the season there was rumours he could be on his way out with the Dees favouring youth in the midfield.

Potential clubs – unknown

NORTH MELBOURNE

Gavin Urquhart – Highly rated at North Melbourne but apparently seeking a change. There has been talk of him being used in a swap for Patrick Veszpremi although the Roos are reported to be keener on draft picks.

Potential clubs - Sydney

David Hale – Is fast becoming one of the big names in trade week with his ability to play ruck and forward a big plus. Has the potential to be a number one ruckman at a club in need but could be equally effective in a swing role.

Potential clubs – Essendon, Hawthorn, Gold Coast, Melbourne

PORT ADELAIDE

Daniel Motlop – Another name that has slipped under the trade week radar but throughout the season there was strong indications that Motlop was destined for WA. He has a son who lives in Perth and he is keen to move to be closer to family.

Potential clubs – Fremantle, West Coast

Nathan Krakouer – Gone, Gold Coast

RICHMOND

Richard Tambling – Another high draft pick whose potential remains unfulfilled Tambling, despite being contracted, has been actively speaking to clubs. May have to wait for other deals to take place for his to fall in to favour.

Potential clubs – Adelaide, Essendon, Fremantle, St Kilda, West Coast, Bulldogs

Will Thursfield – The 192cm defender has decided to leave Punt Rd in search of greater opportunities after falling down the order in 2010. Key defenders are hot property so although currency is low, suitors will be high.

Potential clubs – Carlton, Fremantle, Hawthorn

ST KILDA

With the off-season just two days in, the Saints are yet to make any noise when it comes to the trade table. Expect rumours to start flying as the week progresses.

SYDNEY

Patrick Veszpremi – A first round draft pick just a couple of years ago, Veszpremi has shown signs of being able to cut it at AFL level but injury has been a major factor. Lots of talk of a trade happening but Sydney has not given up hope of keeping him.

Potential clubs – Bulldogs, North Melbourne

Fringe players Ed Barlow, Daniel Currie and Matt O’Dwyer will all be offered up on the trade table but there has been no links as yet.

WEST COAST

Ben McKinley – Clearly out of favour at the Eagles and keen to return to Victoria to try and resurrect his AFL career. A wayward shot for goal at times, there is work to be done but no one can deny his talent.

Potential clubs – North Melbourne, Victorian clubs

Matt Spangher – Another Victorian keen to move home, Spangher showed a bit in 2010 and has been consistent at WAFL level for East Fremantle. Could help the Eagles entice a West Australian home.

Potential clubs – Victorian clubs

WESTERN BULLDOGS

Josh Hill – The developing forward is keen to move home to Western Australia and after a few promising seasons the Claremont product should be able to get a deal done.

Potential clubs – West Coast, Fremantle

Brennan Stack – Like Hill, Stack is keen on a move back to his native state of WA.

Potential clubs – West Coast, Fremantle

Andrejs Everitt – The younger brother of Peter, seems to have been linked with a trade for his entire career. His name has again been thrown up in potential exchange deals yet his desire to stay or go is largely unknown.

Potential clubs – unknown

Jarred Harbrow – Gone, Gold Coast

Good work :thumbsu:

- Medhurst has retired

- I reckon you could throw Carlton's name in that hat for McKinley

- Nathan Jones has had a bit of speculation about him leaving Melbourne.

- The WA clubs have a busy trade week coming up if this list is anything to go by ;)

After seeing what Gold Coast did this year and the little compensation clubs got for players, could clubs look to off load players with 1 year left on there contract before they get pinched for the best part of fa ark all

All the possible clubs are based on reports from newspapers/other media services.

I'm sure there are plenty more who are interested but playing their cards close to their chest.

West Coast and Fremantle appear to be busy because so many WA players have expressed a desire to return home. Will a deal get done? not necessarily.

The two Richmond players linked to WA were in town this weekend for Graham Polak's wedding so whether they are legitimate targets or the clubs thought they'd just cover all bases remains to be seen.

None the less thought it would be helpful for all to have a list of players that have been talked about.

Subiaco are after Daniel Motlop, they always seem to come up with alot of cash,
so they may be able to convince him to play for them.

Any idea on whether Andrew Lovett will be back in Royals colours next season or what his intentions are?
