State Screening

Daw's leap was the best at any of the post season screening this year. Good day out for the big fella ran 13.6 beep and 3.03sec 20 m.
Did Rayner top the beeps? Thought Hartigan's 14.5 was super!

What about results for the other Jets boys - Tighe, Gray & Fogarty?

Good test results for Tighe in sprint and/or beep would have a similar impact as Post last year where Post went from rookie possibility to good draft chance after better than expected SS results.

To be fair, Jayden Post had one awesome finals match as well which may have sealed the deal for him more than his testing results. Although he did run a 3.02sec 20m (and 2 x 3.18sec) as well as a really good beep test.

Then again, some wise people knew Post could play well ahead of all that

Majik broke the record for the leap previously held by NicNat. 92cm over 88cm.

Raynor 15.4 (I think) for the beep.
You guys are all on drugs.
The Draft camp record for standing vertical leap is 83cm

It has stood since 1998.

It is held by Trent Croad.

Nic Nat got 78cm, Nic Nac and Brennan hold the running vertical leap at 102cm.

Alex Stopp ran a 15.9 Beep test Norwood football club, while Trengove ran a 15.1 or 15.2.Very good effort.:):):)

Good news on Trengove's beep test there.

Does anyone know how he went in the sprints?

Crazy from Stoppy there, better than Rischbeith who is a crazy runner.

Trengove from what I hear got 2.97 for the 20m. Not too shabby proving he has both a big engine and is sharp off the blocks. Going to be very hard to separate him and Scully for pick 1.

Lucky for Melb they don't have to worry. Both Gems who will play round 1. :thumbsu:

Lewis Jetta got 2.95 so a pretty good effort from Trengove there.

I agree, difficult to separate Scully and Trengove, but luckily for Melbourne it won't be a big issue, as they'll both end up as Demons anyway.

Thanks for the info by the way ;)

Very true, can't wait to see them in the red and blue.

Great work AE even if you can reveal the rest of your info

Your welcome mate. Ryan Neates features fairly high in everything and seems to be a real athlete. The catergorys where he didn't make the top 5, generally he wasn't that far behind. Another who tested well is Trent Dennis Lane. Hopefully some picks him up or at least rookies him as he's more that capable imo.

Dennis Lane had a very good WAFL season and would be a very handy pickup I believe for anyone looking for another dangerous forward option.
Neates is a good footballer, was best on or very close to in the wafl colts grandy, how tall is he though? Could count against him

Lewis Jetta got 2.95 so a pretty good effort from Trengove there.

Jetta has run a 2.85 in testing at UWA. Dont think his DC results where a true reflection of how fast he is, Colyer for instance will be the quickest player in the draft over 20m.

J.Coyne who is a Jet himself ran a 2.91 in SS and Jetta is considerably quicker than him.

Alex Stopp ran a 15.9 Beep test Norwood football club, while Trengove ran a 15.1 or 15.2.Very good effort.:):):)
That is off the freakin' planet if true (and from a KP defender, not a run-all-day midfielder). Would beat the all-time draft camp record by a solid 0.3. Seems a little excessive. Can anyone confirm?

The issue with Stopp's Beep test was that he was always a split second ahead of the beep.
When you are a split second in front of the beep it is simply not legitimate.

Although not his fault, the fact is his end result was slightly tainted in my view.

The SASI recorders should have done something about it.

Most of the recruiters noticed and were surprised.

Still, was a fair effort regardless.

I'm a bit confused here, aren't you supposed to run only when you hear the beep??

That is a fair point, but you also have to consider that Trengove may also have the potential to do better, especially when you consider that the SA state screening, from what I've been told, was limited to one day, so there wasn't too much time to recover between the tests.

Would be great if Melbourne could somehow end up with both Jetta and Trengove. Colyer wouldn't be a bad get either.

From the results i got, he would have been slightly below average at the National Draft Camp.

I assume this is overall C23. Heard he aced the agility and although his shoe slipped a bit for the 20m he still got 3 sec.

Have you got a link by any chance to any of the overall results that you'd care to share?
