Just saw this.

The fight for a life
It wasn’t too long ago Yahye Fitaax was being carried to safety in his mother’s arms, whilst under heavy gunfire.
Born into the Somali Civil War, Yahye now resides in Melbourne and says if it wasn’t for the courage of his parents to move home, he’d probably be dead.
“Mum...
Guys, some may remember that the Club had a day where they auctioned off all the contents of the old changerooms/social club a couple of years back. At the end of that day they auctioned off a lot of 14 or so flood lights that were from the top of the old grandstand.
Any chance the guy...
Has anyone bought tickets for the Essendon game from the Ticketmaster website? I've been trying for the last couple of days now and aren't having any luck.
I thought if we were 14 game members then we just had to buy a seat. Is that correct?
When I go to the Ticketmaster website, select...
Has anyone had success in booking tickets for the Collingwood game on the Internet? I go through the members section, enter my barcodes but the "booking fee only" seats don't seem to be an option.
Tried the phone too but just get a busy tone.
Alot of you guys on here would appreciate how hard that title would be to write. Well image the shock I got last night when I arrived home to find a brand new Jnr Bomber membership pack sitting on my kitchen table.
One of my sons has been involved in a multicultural program run by Essendon...
Just got back from having a few quiet ones in the park with a large number of friends while we downed the lights for the good of the planet. Had a very interesting and positive chat with one friend.
He has spent the last couple of weeks working with the Club to get the Arden St development...
Sorry if this has been discussed before.
I was speaking to a friend of mine who attended the funeral of Macca last week down at Arden St. He said the directors were in full flight "lobbying" their cases for and against the GC move. He spoke to each of them and currently there are 3 for and...
I'm going to the game on Saturday and not having been to AAMI Stadium before was wondering if its practical to get a taxi out there from the city.
How much does it cost?
How long does it take?
Assuming the only other way is by bus??? I saw there was a footy express bus but that seems to...
I was down at Arden St on Sat morning with the kids doing Auskick. A couple of the injured guys were there doing some training.
Trotter, McConnell and Gibson started off doing some laps. They then seemed to help Gibson out with his training. He organised them where he wanted them and was...
KNOWing Footy
Thursday 19 April at Arden St

By popular demand, KNOW is once again running this event, unique to the football calendar.
KNOWing Footy is for those of us who love the game, but haven't played Australian Rules Football. The workshop is about the strategy...
Just a little something to hold up things a little more. Can't take a trick at the moment.

Hopefully I'm not standing on any toes posting this but my wife is going and I thought some of the woman folk here on Big Footy might be interested.

Was down at Arden St on Saturday morning (was up in the time keepers box giving the siren a bit of a test) .... anyway Jesse Smith came out early and did half a dozen laps of the oval. Problem was he was walking them. Didn't even get into a slow jog.
Now I'm no physical fitness expert but...
Spoke to someone who works at the Club last night and apparently Stevens was offered a new contract but he refused it. It was only slightly more than what he was on this year but he wanted more.
There have been 3 other clubs that have spoken to him and are very keen to get him.
Left on...
Here's a small article from the Melbourne Times:

Saw the start of training down at Arden St this morning.
Hale looks fine. He was doing full training.
Motlop was running laps, well he was going around the oval ... wasn't alot of running more like a fast walk.
Still think something is up with Wells. Just doesn't look 100%
A step in the right direction!

The ins and outs for this week
in: Harris, Motlop, LeCras
out: Rocca, M Stevens
sorry if its already been posted,
Big effort by Jnr to get back so quickly. I'm abit surprised about Stevens. Thought most of his games this year have been pretty good. Funny how some players just...
Not wanting to have a go at anyone or be too negative, but are the young kids pumped up too much on this board? Not that that is a big drama but I often have trouble trying to gauge where the kids are really at.
Everyone keeps saying that they need time to develop but then a guy like Wells...
What a great night! Jason makes his comeback, the Roos win and to top it all off my son was one of the mascots to run out with Jase. It doesn't get much better than that.
I was in the rooms after the match and its a long time since I've heard the song sung like that.
Aaaahhhh football...
I know this probably won't go down too well with most of you but I'd be thinking about giving Wells a rest. No question that he has the skill and ability but there are times he just looks lost out there. Especially when the ball is turned over quickly he is often left looking for his man and...
