Q1
We’re getting out worked so far. Down 2 goals to 4.
Goals to Cavara with his first kick and Walton from a 50.
Lucky to be that close. CJ doing his thing looks good
Very specific query sorry - looking for who coached Hawthorn's reserves in 1979. The club / historian doesn't have the info, so I'm hoping one of the clever sleuths on here might find it.
According to the club, John O'Mahony finished coaching in 1978 and Des Meagher took over in 1980, but they...
Can anyone provide, or direct me to a definitive list of AFL Life Members?
It's not quite as simple as the 300 game club. Lots of articles around of additions, but no actual list that I can find.
Cheers
Not sure why the other thread got locked - was good for non match discussion. Perhaps this can be merged into it.
Final List, finally available:

Maybe I'm the only one that uses it but the 'Change Width' function is absolutely wrecked by these ads. Apart from making it impossible to slyly use BigFooty at work, they cover the content, and when you try to undo the Change Width function, you can no longer get to it.
Any chance you...
At Olympic Park Oval (Collingwood Training Centre)
Difficult time to get there but for those that can, should see the full set of available Hawks not selected for Saturday. It'll be interesting to see how many emergencies are held over, especially now that teams name 4 emergencies.
Hawks and Dogs players left over from Saturday's JLT will be on show.
I'm going to try and get there but I'm also heading to Ballarat for the day on Saturday so may struggle with the leave pass.
Anyone who does go, please inform the masses of the Hawks' performances here.
Chanced on this article in the Herald a week before the 1944 season started. It seems to say - well, it does say - that after everyone's played each other once, the bottom two teams would be cut and the rest would play 6 more rounds...
Just wondering if anyone has any info on this game, played 8th October 1977 in Darwin.
Per page 129 of this http://websites.sportstg.com/get_file.cgi?id=110634 (The whole thing is quite an interesting read).
Specifically I'm after confirmation of Geelong's final score, as well as qtr x qtr...
Apologies for the intrusion, sorry if this is not appropriate. Just looking for some info on this Cup, played for when Collingwood and Hawthorn meet in the home & away season.
Namely -
What year did it start?
Is it always for the first meeting of the two sides each year?
Is it still current...

Sorry if this is addressed elsewhere (someone please direct me if so) but is the list of dates for list lodgement, free agency & trading period commencement/completion etc etc available anywhere?
Looks like only one clash, not a bad result.
Possibly playing Collingwood in a curtain-raiser at the 'G before the round 9 game against the Pies.

David Mirra wins.
Sam Iles runner-up, Teia Miles third.
Kurt Heatherley won most consistent, Kade Stewart best first year player.
Aaron Bond won the Dev Side B&F.
Looks like it's been moved from tomorrow to today.
VFL site saying Seniors/DL at 4:30, so maybe combined sides, probably no AFL players.
No news of squads/selection/applications for AFL players to be allowed (Birchall?)

Now at 1pm - and on ABC TV. At least the first half now won't clash with Hawthorn.
Sorry if this was already known - I just picked up that it's moved from 2pm.
The Hawks won, playing North on 17th August 1976.
I'm trying to establish the final 20 that played for the Hawks.
A squad of 23 was named before the match.
Using the article below, 12 can be confirmed: G.Ablett, Bremner, Goad, Hendrie, Jones, L.Matthews, Moncrieff, Moore, O'Halloran, Rice...
Thought I might start a thread on the Hawthorn Reserves and Box Hill seasons from the beginning -1925 onwards.
I'll put up the scores for each season, where we finished, the available goalkickers, and who featured in the best players.
Probably won't be much to discuss until we get to the...
I'm putting together a statistical history of the Box Hill Hawks, and the one year I can't find anything for is 2004.
I just need the final score from each Box Hill seniors match in 2004. Can anyone help? Either supply or point me to a site that has them?
I've tried that internet archive...
Does anyone know anything about this?
Obviously at some point it was replaced by the Under19s, but I don't know when. In Hawthorn's book about their history, it is claimed they won the 1942 3rd eighteen premiership, but I can find ZERO info about whether the 3rds competition was even played...
I'm wondering if we have any reason to be concerned with Box Hill's results to date this season.
Pre-Season some media was tipping a Box Hill flag, even after losing Curnow and Pedersen. We've had an ok run with injuries to my knowledge, although it'd be nice to have Pollard and Musto...
Message for Sam Mitchell
Sam you are a star. A gun. Your application and commitment espouse the values our club holds dear. Right now, in terms of games played, you sit along side another who also epitomised the spirit of Hawthorn. Both you and Peter Crimmins stand on 176 games apiece...
Can anyone tell me who captained, and who coached, the Box Hill Dev Squad Premiership Sides of 2006 and 2009?
I think the captain last year was Hugh Sandilands, but don't know the rest. I can't even find the coaches name anywhere for last year.
Cheers in advance.
Can anyone post them? Round 20, 21 & 22 of 2009. Can't find them anywhere - I believe they weren't publicised in order to keep the winner a surprise... Were they made available afterwards?
