Looking at this, they might be without Parker for a few weeks at VFL level as well....

Autopsy Cats lose to Suns by 64 points.

Miers got caught in one which was a great rundown tackle, but you just know if the roles were reversed, it would've been a free for a push in the back as the momentum of the tackle carried Miers forward and the tackler cannoned into his back.

A full time midfielder averaging 60% game time before last night. Maybe that has something to do with the slightly low possession average.

There were several times we looked for him last night, but usually it was a long bomb to him wrestling with Sam Collins with 2 or 3 spare Suns players waiting down for the inevitable crumbs and easy rebound out of defence.

The game we got spanked by 110 by Sydney would have been worse surely.

Wonder how much of a difference it would've made if O'Sullivan came in for SDK instead of Tuohy.

I think the passage of play which summed the night up perfectly was late in the last term when we fumbled the ball across half back, had one Geelong player on his hands and knees trying to get the ball out, only for the handball to get intercepted and Noah Anderson ran forward with two Suns...

One positive - Hawthorn are still on the receiving end of the Suns' biggest ever winning margin.

Worthy of a RS nomination perhaps.

Read somewhere it was our biggest score conceded since Round 1, 1994 when Melbourne kicked 26.18.174 against us. We actually scored over 100 points that day too.

Stengle and Ollie Henry have been deadly accurate in front of goal thus far this season - 21.6 and 21.7 respectively.

Wasn't just the leading clearance player for us - was the leading clearance player on the ground.

I reckon half of their goals were either from the goal square or from a bloke waltzing through centre half forward and slotting one from 35m straight in front under no pressure from a centre clearance.

41 less kicks. 42 less handballs. 43 less marks. 96 less effective possessions. 15 less tackles. 7 less hit outs 10 less frees. 9 less scoring shots. 15 less inside 50s. Pretty much says it all.
